We had an amazing time this past weekend at Paradise Point in San Diego! We took our grandson for the weekend to play and enjoy this beautiful location. The prices were a bit high by the pool, but our meals at The Barefoot were worth it, and the service awesome! We had the privilege of having Abbie as our server, she was off the charts fabulous, thank you Abbie! Our grandson ate all his food, as did we, and Abbie's suggestions, after asking her what were her favorites, were delicious!! Thank you Abbie for making our last day one to remember!

We had our wedding done recently, and they did an excellent job making sure that everything is done perfectly. The staff was very polite and nice. The best customer service. Excellent location by the bay area. Relaxing and romantic vibe. I would love to stay here again in the near future

From the minute you turn the corner into the resort, you know you are somewhere special. The city fades away as the tree lined drive opens up to a tropical paradise with a large lagoon and Balinese style lobby. The grounds are a perfectly manicured tropical oasis island. 900 species of rare and tropical plants populate the island, welcoming an array of wild life and stunning backdrop to an overall excellent experience. Every single staff member I came in contact with was quick with a smile, gracious and accommodating. The grounds are dotted with bungalows vs. the high rise behemoths so popular with resorts these days. The bungalows are perfectly situated on the grounds lending a natural privacy enhancing the warmth of the island setting. As I was on business, I was spoiled and received a Jr. Suite facing the bay. My bungalow was recently remodeled and was decorated warmly and appointed with the best finishes. As I travel on business frequently, I have become a hotel snob, and this one will rank in the top 3 for overall aesthetics, service and experience. If the views were not enough the quality of the suite exceed my expectations. I understand from one of the drivers that the resort is transforming all of their bungalows in phases, with all of them due to be finished by early next year. Don't let this deter you from staying now. Again, you are on a tropical island in the middle of Mission Bay in San Diego, why are you indoors anyway? The resort boasts boat rentals, 5 pools, 4 restaurants and world class spa services all of which will make you forget you are actually in the middle of a major metropolitan city. All waterfront, the resort has chosen to give you an array of dining choices. Caveman Pizza, a Mexican Cantina on the pool, a casual Barefoot Bar and Grill, or bring a date to the beautiful Tidal for a more upscale experience. Ask to sit on the waters edge and enjoy the sunset while dining on chef inspired delights! Ok, ok, enough... steeped in a rich history of a bygone era, Paradise Island blends sophisticated waterfront luxury with San Diego's casual charm to deliver an experience like no other in the Southern California. Enjoy!

I had a great trip. Rooms are modern and clean, but buildings are a bit dated and the water pressure in the shower/bath tub wasn't great. Food was good on the premises, but they clearly care more about saying they offer things like cafe mocha and other barista drinks than actually delivering quality. They are way over safe temperature to drink and use inferior ingredients and untrained staff to make them.

The first room had ants crawling on the floor and bed and my belongings. The shower just sprinkled and took an exceptionally long time to wet my hAir. The manager proceeded to tell me they were all booked up and couldn't find me another room. They offered to spray pesticide in the room while I slept there. UMMM NO THANK YOU. I don't like sleeping in areas with carcinogens just floating around while I breathe. They then magically had a room open up and put me there which is a better shower and no ants. The food is not all that people rave about. It is significantly over priced. The pools are nice and there are plenty of them. That is the only good thing about this resort.
