The room was cold, heating was noisy as a hell and smells with a fungus. Very poor quality for this price. Area is under the reconstruction. The location is great and bars - good food, choice of local beer The accommodation itself and hospitality are not as much impressive

Being on an "island," it's great for walks (or runs) on the beach or watching crew teams row by, but when it comes to meals, OUCH! This is pretty cynical, but it makes sense. Just add roundtrip Uber costs to a reasonable (still higher than normal) hotel restaurant cost, and that's their price here. Probably figure they can double the cost and you still won't drive the extra 5 miles each way for a meal.

Hotel grounds/landscaping was beautiful, nice conference rooms. The room I stayed in, however had a musty damp odor, black spots covered with thick, peeling paint various places on the bathroom walls, ceiling and baseboards (not sure if this was mold or mildew throughout the bathroom?). Additional Comments: Provide free parking to customers who are already paying for the room, provide complimentary coffee make it available in the lobby

Stayed at the Paradise Point Resort and Spa for a conference last week (NOV 2017). Thoroughly enjoyed the property and having my accommodations separated from the conference center. Great access to all points in San Diego through a ride share service. Rooms with bay views come with an upgrade charge. Many interior rooms do not have water views.

Avoid the food, bring a car so that you aren't stuck on the Island. The food isn't good and it is expensive. The resort is near nothing. So you will need to drive 10-15 minutes to get to another restaurant that isn't on the Island.
