Paradise Point

The rooms have Outdated infrastructure, beat up walls, trim and furniture. Multiplug extension cords service the rooms because there r so few outlets. The bathroom has rusted caps and lines supplying the toilet. Our first room smelled of mildew and black mold is seen on the wet curtains and adjacent wall. Staff preassigns rooms prior to arrival for our conference and tell us they are unable to switch accommodations despite the poor room state. They did assign us another room the next morning- we had to go purchase a different hotel room 15 minutes away at 1 in the morning due to this. The “High speed internet” is 25 mbps if u can access it- we can’t. Our cell service, which is thru Verizon has 1-2 bars and is spotty at this location. Switching to LTE doesn’t help. The mattresses are hard, uncomfortable and the in room fridge doesn’t work. We made the mistake of pulling out the stand alone shelving housing the small refrigerator to check the plug since the fridge wasn’t working, there was quite a bit of Food crumbs, dust and dirt, along the wall, trim and underneath. Beneath the rest of the furniture was worse.

Went for work... The tone was set by the Brande in Catering and Krista in AV, both professionals who enjoy the job. They are the epitome of swrvice. Beautiful bungalows with water views, sip coffee and watch the sunrise...what an awesome way to start the day. Food and service all excellent

If you’re looking for a resort that is both classy and child-friendly, this is a rare find. A charming miniature golf course greets the visitor, the reception is a blast from the past, well-built vintage infrastructure has been well maintained, and there’s no shortage of beach access, outdoor activities. Nothing stuffy about the place.

If you are thinking of scheduling a business conference here DON'T! Where to start....The first night we were informed there was a "scheduled" city power outage, but when I asked if they had any fans for our room with no windows and no AC they said none were available, then gave us expired glow sticks to use in the bathroom. The single bathroom in the conference room was ridiculous for a large group over 3 days and when I walked to the other conference center to use the restroom the lights were out for days and they had placed glow sticks all over the floor. Very ill prepared facility for something they were aware was going to occur. Then for the next 2 days there was a scheduled festival that blocked the intersection leaving the hotel and took all available parking spots, we missed our dinner reservation due to this and cancelled our Sunday plans due to the chaos of traffic the day before. There were multiple groups outside our room on the patio and in the parking lot drinking outside of their cars late into the night. At check out we inquired about getting an hour late check out to accommodate our flight and the front desk staff said they could do nothing to help us even after we had been very accommodating over the span of the conference. Similar to our previous interactions with them, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive. The only positive interaction at the resort was with the cleaning staff who we kind and attentive. Maybe they should hire them to work at the front desk. Worst hospitality we have ever experienced, will never go back again.

It was not a great experience! Bed is old, sunken, uneven mattress, and I woke up with a stiff back pain every morning. Bedsheets were old, pillings and felt very rough. We paid for a suite high price (over $ 500/night) but the room is not worth it, besides the great bayview! There were bugs and spiders in the curtains and bathroom. We requested late check out by 1pm due to my conference was at the hotel ended at 12 PM but they wanted to charge me for the late checkout. And they made it very difficult back-and-forth texting due to their in room phone system was not working, not only that they took very long time to respond. AC UNIT is very noisy, difficult to sleep with it on.
