Went here for a much needed relaxing getaway with my husband for my 40th Birthday. The place seemed very nice upon arrival. The front desk lady was very nice. We were told someone would show us how to get to our room but there was no body when we walked back to our car. We eventually found our room by following the map. The room was clean and spacious. There was not a microwave present and as we were staying for 3 nights 4 days and I only like to drink instant coffee, a microwave was a necessity and something I assumed the room would have considering even motel 6 come with microwaves. We requested one and were told they were all being used and if one became available it would be brought to the room. We never received one. I also ended up having to sleep on the couch because the bed was so hard it made me wake up in pain. I requested an extra blanket and again never received requested item, luckily I had brought a throw blanket with me. The main pool was under construction during our time there which was never mentioned to us upon booking. There were other pools but the main one is by far the nicest. The spa was very nice and our massages were wonderful and we very much enjoyed the steam room. I had high expectations of this place especially since it had come highly recommended by a friend and I was very much let down. I would not recommend this resort to anyone and my birthday weekend was a very big disappointment because of this place. Luckily my husband and I made the best of a bad situation and my birthday wasn’t a total failure.

We stayed at this property, and when we arrived we were blown away how we felt like we were in Hawaii. The resort grounds were lush, tropical, relaxing and peaceful. Its so close to Seaworld, and the rest of San Diego. The front staff were very accommodating & pleasant to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here if your undecided where to stay

The grounds were lovely and the staff was great! There were some hidden charges for parking and ammenities fees which I think should be included in the room price. The rooms were newly remodeled but I think ours may of had a leak because it was musty. The decor was fine, could be upgraded a bit given the price they charge. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Ugh. Go somewhere else unless you want to pay additional fees for EVERYTHING. When you check out your bill will have Three types of additional taxes?! Also, the bogus resort fee for what?! An unkempt mini golf course? Tennis courts with no equipment? Also, we booked through Expedia And thus didn't know that 2 of the 5 pools would be closed for renos. The rooms were nice and the staff friendly, but We won't come back. I think you could find a nicer hotel, closer to the sights of San Diego that's more reasonable!

Place was nice, several of the pools were closed. I was surprised that they didn't provide wood for the fire pits & no chairs out the beach. The chairs on the patios were too heavy to take down there.
