I traveled to the resort for a business trip so I didn’t choose the location. Given my experience, I would not return on my own dime. First, the positives. The resort is gorgeous and the grounds are truly tropical. My room was centrally located and had recently been renovated. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and the overall feel was great inside. The pool was heated and the gym is large and also well maintained. The pizza place was great and reasonable priced. Now the areas that would keep me from returning. The resort is large and there is a long wait for the golf cart transportation, so be prepared to walk. This is not a big deal when the weather is nice, but in the rain it is a true mess. The WiFi and cell reception in the room is non-existent. I had to stand next to the door/only window for any service. Speaking of the room, while it was nice, my view was of a fence and a parking lot. My patio area was fenced to block the hideous view, but as that is the only place I could get a reliable signal, had to spend much time outside. There is a beach....with no chairs. Upon check-in I specifically asked if the room location was near the construction and was told ‘no’. I am not sure how you could have gotten any closer as the building 20 feet away was being renovated and there were workers coming and going from 6am to 8pm. The service around the front desk and restaurants was slow, inattentive and generally unpleasant. (The only exception was the Pizza Place staff and the bell staff.) There are lots of activities (bike rental, boat rental, jet skis, etc) and various restaurant choices, but everything is extremely expensive. The resort fee is a joke...and don’t get me started on the parking fee (I didn’t have a car, but the fee is outrageous.) Overall, the resort is nice and the landscape screams tropical paradise....but the service, terrible cell reception and overall feel was anything but paradise. There are better options.

The restaurant/bar choices are limited and expensive. They also close very early (9pm!) and the service is average. The room was recently updated but smelled strongly of paint. Overall the property is pricey for what you get, you are mostly paying for the location.

Visited with my husband while he was at his conference I went to the spa. Had a wonderful massage with Eric! Just the right amount of pressure & hit all the tight muscles. Was able to return the spa (same day) for a long steam and shower after enjoying the sun at the pool.

Spent a week at this resort. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Choices are sparse for eating during the day, however, Tidal has great food. Views outside the room were nice, lots of birds flying around. Only thing that I was disappointed in was the dozen cigarette butts right outside my room.

My husband and I took a very last-minute vacation to San Diego. We booked our first night at Paradise point. We loved it! It was peaceful, it was relaxing, it was just an easy place to be. The food at the restaurant was so surprisingly great (you just never know when it comes to hotel and resort food)! The people at the front desk were helpful, kind, and fun! Especially Sam and Carly/ Kaley. We had great chats with the luggage manager/ name tag specialist! We rented bikes there at the resort and went biking around in the city. The guy who helped us with the bike rental was also so great! It was the nice, kind, friendly, and accommodating staff that made this place so amazing! OK the views and the pools and the water helped also! Our only regret was that we could only spend one night there. The hotel was booked out for the following night. So thanks for one fabulous night!!
