Rancho Bernardo Inn

We enjoyed our one night stay at Rancho Bernardo having had 2 nights in San Diego city. It is a peaceful retreat resort, the beauty of it is aged but well groomed and clean. The foliage is older and out grown in areas. The family pool was clean and not over crowded. The adult pool very peaceful and quiet. Our room was pretty spacious for a standard room; bathroom was especially nice for counter space. We liked having a big screen smart TV and a mini fridge. Our dinner at Veranda was very good; I had the scallops. Seafood can be easily overcooked, but it was cooked perfectly, tender and moist. My husband had the lamb; needed to be trimmed prior to cooking as it had a lot of fat; he asked for medium rare and it came out a little more rare. But for him, that was good. Happy we chose here for our last minute weekend get away!

Spacious on a golf course, but a bit dated in need of renovation. Amenities decent, but for tennis & pickle ball are not on the same grounds. Resort has an affiliation with a nearby community club, which does not have a resort feel; but more Boys & Girls Club feel.

We had an amazing stay at the Rancho Bernardo Inn from August 11–14. The hotel was beautiful and exceptionally clean, the food was delicious, and the entire staff was warm and friendly. We loved the pools, and our gorgeous room opened directly onto the garden, with a peaceful waterfall just outside. A huge thank you to Benjamin Garcia and his team for showing us the true meaning of genuine hospitality and service. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted curbside, every door was opened for us, and the team immediately assisted with our luggage. Mason was especially wonderful, he was incredibly kind and friendly to our four-year-old son and even gave him a little stuffed bear as a souvenir. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our son feel very special. The entire team made us feel completely at home throughout our stay. Thank you to everyone at the Rancho Bernardo Inn for providing such exceptional service and a truly memorable experience. We can’t wait to return!

Loved our garden room and balcony, the grounds, peace and quiet, the adults only pool and all the fountains surrounding the property. The staff was wonderful. Joe, Amy and Sergio at Avant and Isabel and Chloe of guest services too! The dining at Avant was delicious and the service superb, with lovely ambience. Can’t wait to go back!!

We absolutely loved our stay here and the foundational reason was the staff. The grounds were gorgeous, the patrons friendly, the food was really yummy but the lovely, highly professional staff simply beat our expectations. Everyone was warm, welcoming and attentive to our every needs. 5 star service at a 5 star location - we love it and will be back.
