Our recent stay at the Rancho Bernardo Inn was spectacular from start to finish, boasting an peaceful, upscale vibe throughout the property. The highlight was hosting a dinner party for 10 at AVANT Restaurant. We kicked off the night with an array of appetizers including the Local Bluefin Tuna crudo, the Heirloom Tomatoes & Burrata salad, and the perfectly blistered Shishito Peppers with truffle sea salt. Everyone raved over the warm Parker House Rolls, paired with seasonal butter and sea salt. Yum! For mains, I enjoyed the Hokkaido Diver Scallops. They were cooked to absolute perfection. The NY Strip and Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb ordered by some of my guests looked equally amazing. Beyond the incredible dining, the relaxation was top tier. Our guest room featured a beautiful private patio equipped with its own firepit. I relaxed the next morning with a hot stone massage at The Spa located just steps from our room. The treatment took place in a private, outdoor garden cabana next to the Tranquility Fountain. Heavenly! We concluded our stay with an outdoor brunch at Veranda overlooking the golf course. Chef's kiss on the Crab Cake Benedict. Thank you to the Rancho Bernardo Inn for making my birthday stay so special. We can't wait to return!

Absolutely loved my stay here! From beginning to end, everyone I met and came in contact with was extremely intentional about making our experience memorable and special. I am so extremely grateful to Caelyn, Andrew, Jaden especially! And that’s just to name a few! Every single person was sooo kind and welcoming. I will be staying here again whenever next I’m in Rancho Bernardo

Been coming to Rancho Bernardo Inn and Golf course for a few years. Each time we have Greg with the golf course helping us. He’s quick to help with our booth and makes the experience fun and seamless. We’ll take him every year. Shawnna Tancil

It was a great staycation. Our golf pro, Jay, was excellent! Taught us the basics of golf, and made it really fun as well! Highly recommended getting some lessons with her if you come here.

Beautiful Property, but Service and Staffing Fell Short Rancho Bernardo Inn is a beautiful property with lovely grounds—we really enjoyed that part of our stay. Unfortunately, our dining experiences at the Fireside Lounge were disappointing. On our first evening, we arrived for dinner without a reservation and were offered seating on the couches, which was perfectly fine with us. Shortly afterward, another couple arrived without a reservation and was offered the same option. The woman threw a major fit, and the hostess—possibly Norah—ultimately gave them a table. It felt unfair and inconsiderate to guests who had accepted the couch seating. The following morning, despite having a breakfast reservation at the Fireside Lounge, service was very slow and inattentive. On a positive note, the vanilla lattes there were excellent. The coffee café also appeared seriously understaffed for a Sunday morning. The barista was clearly doing her best, but the line was extremely long and she had no support. My latte seemed rushed and was made incorrectly, so I ended up throwing it out. I don’t fault the barista at all—the staffing situation was the issue. There was also very little bar service at the adult pool. With better poolside service, the resort could create a much better guest experience—and likely bring in substantially more revenue. A beautiful resort, but the food-and-beverage service and staffing need more attention.

Rancho Bernardo is one of the most enchanting inns in the U.S. The fountains are well worth the attention they command in artwork. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable beyond belief. Absolutely love this piece of heaven.
