Rancho Bernardo Inn

I stayed here in October for Law-di-Gras, a legal conference I was speaking at that has a lot of lawyer, legal marketing, and legal vendors in attendance. I had my husband and daughter stay with me at the hotel, so it was a mixture of a work trip with some family time. The hotel rooms are a good size. A massive tv in each room. I liked the balcony area with plenty of outdoor seating. And having two sinks in the restroom was wonderful. We stayed on the second floor of the gardens building and they told us there are no elevators, so if you have heavy luggage or have knee issues you should request a first floor room. In October the heat was still high 90s and 100 degree weather, so the room temperature was an issue. We kept the AC on in the room, closed the window shades and still couldn't get the room under 74. So I think it may have been too many rooms with AC on trying to cool down. We ate almost every meal at the Veranda. Good food. Indoor and outdoor tables. I have celiac disease and there were plenty of gluten free options for me and I never got sick. The walk from the hotel lobby to the Armada room and other pool does have a steep walk, so it's something to consider if you have bad knees or are older. There were plenty of pools available which my daughter enjoyed. Pool towels are available there so you don't have to look for them. Property is beautiful. My husband golfed while he was there and he said the course was in okay shape. Overall it was a good experience for us. I would go back again.

I had one of the best customer service experiences of all time!! I was visiting the Rancho Bernardo Inn for Law-Di-Gras and had an unforgettable experience at the resort’s coffee shop, Cafe Granada. I stopped by early Saturday morning to find a line of approximately 7 to 10 attorneys dying for their morning caffeine before heading into the conference. There were only two employees handling the rush, working furiously to pump out drinks and warm breakfast dishes for an "almost angry" mob of tired lawyers. Amidst the chaos, one barista stood out as bright as the California sun: Nahal. Her energy was nothing short of magical. Even while juggling a dozen different drink orders simultaneously, she went out of her way to make every single customer feel deeply appreciated and made every child in line feel special and happy. Her performance wasn't just good; it was legendary. In fact, the hotel should record her at work and turn it into a mandatory training video for every single employee titled, "How to Make Customers Feel Special While Doing Your Job Flawlessly." Every customer service professional in the hospitality industry should model their role after her. Long after walking away, multiple attorneys were still talking to me about how incredible she was (even though most of us are usually picky coffee snobs!). Nahal is a phenomenal asset to the Rancho Bernardo Inn, and her genuine kindness, positivity, and grace under pressure left a lasting impression on everyone there.

It was amazing and so relaxing

The resort is beautiful, I enjoy landscapes and landscape architecture. There are so many great views, places to sit and enjoy the moment. My room was clean and well prepared. Above all the people make the difference for any organization. Justin so so polite, extremely helpful with our packages that we had shipped in ahead of time and help ship them back to our home office. Jessica,Isabel and Hannah at the front desk were professional and helped with a couple print outs I needed. I can’t go without mentioning the young ladies at the cafe who memorized my name after only one visit and the waitress who was always cheerful and attentive. Top Tier all the way, can’t wait return. Oh yeah, nice big gym with plenty of options !!!

My friends and I recently stayed at Rancho Bernardo Inn and our experience was great. Benjamin helped us at the front desk and was incredibly accommodating and friendly. He took the time to make sure we had everything we needed, and made us feel welcome from the start. We will definitely be coming back and would recommend it to others.
