We were here initially for a business conference and extended our stay by three nights to make it a vacation get-away. To a person, the hotel staff was friendly and professional - always smiling and helpful. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful - the rooms, the grounds, the fountains, the lights at night - everything had a relaxed but elegant ambiance. Our room was wonderful, too - the same atmosphere as the rest of the resort, plus we had a lovely balcony with a small table and chairs. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious, and everything was sparkling clean. We ate at the Veranda restaurant several times - the food was delicious. Big shout out to Vickie, our waitress on our last night. Besides providing great service, she was fun to visit with. One other night, we appeared at the Veranda without reservations, and Lindsy (the hostess) darted quickly into the bar area and found the last available booth for us. Also kudos to Louise at the reception desk - she was so welcoming, and that first impression was truly indicative of the experience we had at Rancho Bernardo Inn!

Very beautiful setting and the staff is on point. Gardens rooms on the second floor only have stair access making luggage a little hard to get up and down. Room had a musky smell, but once the AC ran a few days it got better. Food was fair, but have had better at this level of hotel. Overall, the grounds are very well kept and the staff was welcoming.

What a great place this is you don't even have to go off property if you don't want to form the golf to the spa to just the grounds themselves. This place is one of my favorites and we come back every year

I had a great stay. Great attention at the valet, front desk, concierge, hotel services, and from the restaurants. We felt very well taken care of. Just a little dissapointed that our room was a connecting room to someone else. Our neighbors had music loud and smoking cigarettes in the room, luckily the hotel staff sent security to ask them to tone it down. We know it's not the hotel's fault for that so we got over it. Just didn't like the thin walls in between the rooms. The Veranda Fireside Lounge restaurant was amazing. We had lunch and breakfast there. It was delicious, will dream about that golden pear arugula salad. My boyfriend had an Angus cheeseburger that looked mouthwatering. Will be definitely going back!

Pictures of this Inn do not do justice. The landscaping is spectacular and the ambience provided by all the running fountains and extra attentions to detail is not to be missed. Quiet, relaxing, and sensually pleasing, we would go back again without hesitation.
