Excellent customer service, very clean, nice amenities and centrally located! Amazing experience, will definitely return!

I've stayed at the Clift many times, but this is my first stay under Sonesta’s management, and I was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the renovation, quality of the rooms, bedding, and bath products. My room was large, well-appointed with two TVs and fast internet. Despite being on a lower floor, the room was also quiet. The breakfast cafe was solid, and the bar was able to deliver a burger and martini in under 10 minutes after a long flight late at night. I'm a huge fan and would stay here again on my next trip.

This was my second stay at The Clift for a business trip. The lobby is welcoming and the bar is a great spot to unwind at the end of the night. The price is unmatched for the area and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I really enjoy the cafe for breakfast.

This hotel was a total delight. I booked here for a work trip to be in a location that was close to the airport and close to some work meetings in Oakland. It turned into an impromptu sisters trip. The front desk staff here were so accommodating, and charming. They were able to put my sister and me in rooms next to each other, even though she was arriving the next day. The rooms here were spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds. Decor was chic without being corny or twee. The cafe for breakfast is great. Best of all, the bar with its wood paneling and attentive service was a great place to hang out. We ended up staying for dinner; food was a lovely surprise. I had booked this just for a work trip, and left really pleasantly surprised. The only knock is the location/neighborhood wasn't as charming as the hotel itself.

Average rooms, friendly staff (doesn’t not include FREDERICKS restaurant), good location and below Average rooms. Not recommended.
