San Francisco is a city of neighborhoods and districts. While many are familiar with Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf, select travelers know and chose to encounter the hip and vibrant area known as South of Market. Occupying a prime piece of property in the bustling district is the 32-story InterContinental San Francisco, one of the city's newest luxury destinations. Its sleek façade is a head-turner but it is what awaits inside that really dazzles visitors. A collection of spectacular guest rooms are flanked with rich wood appointments, cool marble accents, high-tech gadgets, contemporary art, and banks of windows framing striking city and bay views.

Stayed a total of about two months over past year in multiple stays. Nice hotel and more modern than Mark Hopkins. Good lounge. Location dicey, depending which direction you walk in. Has been my go-to hotel in San Francisco. However, I'll never stay again since they started to charge an amenity fee. I don't do hotels that engage in that sleazy practice. Just not something that honorable business do.

I stayed here as part of a conference block during a conference at Moscone. From a location perspective, it can't be beat if you need to go to Moscone West. I stayed here once before many years ago, but I didn't remember a ton about it. I'm in town often for conferences at Moscone, so I've met friends here for drinks or hung out in their lobby area several times. My room was amazing. I had a king suite and it was gigantic. I had a full bathtub and shower, two sitting chairs, and a long area that served as desk, dresser, fridge and coffee station. The only thing I can think of that needed a tweak was a towel bar on the bathroom by the sink. Note the do not disturb sign is a switch. I didn't switch it on when I arrived and staff almost walked in on my. To be fair, they rang the doorbell, but I didn't know what it was. Overall, I have no complaints about my stay here. I didn't dine here at all, but I would expect hotel prices. I would definitely stay here again. I can't comment on the regular rates, but as part of a conference block it was a steal.

Staff in restaurant and bar shine . Bur rest of staff was ok... Door men don't open. Door for you. Tv's don't work food was just ok.. but bar drinks were great! And staff at the restaurant are nice and Amdy is a great manager. He will go out his way to ensure you happiness if within his power.

Fantastic rooms with amentities and pool with a great lobby. Friendly staff and good gift shop. Gym was enough for a few days. Bar was good but a little pricey. Didn't use the breakfast buffet as it wasn't advertise anywhere so just be aware there is one.

We had a fabulous stay here...our room was stunning, a luxury bathroom, fluffy large towels, soft cuddly robes. Our bed was large and so very comfortable too! Beautiful white bedding, high quality thread count, really didn't want to get out of it. The location is good for Union Square, a trolley to The Piers.
