The title says it all!! The decor and staff were standouts for me. There were a few issues with the room but, when reported, they were resolved by the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting SF for business or pleasure.

The plumbing made a really loud groan whenever above or below used their toilets or shower. The walls are paper thin, I could clearly hear every conversation of my neighbor. I was downgraded in room after checking in. I can't recommend this place.

The Marker is a hidden gem in Union Square! It's a great value and the staff is amazing- very helpful and they make you feel like a valued guest! The wine happy hour and coffee every morning don't hurt either!

Stayed here with my husband for 2nts. On arrival first impression lovely beautiful entrance reception at check in very welcoming Tanya was ready to help with suggestions to make your time in the city a good one outstanding very professional. Room was a good size decoration quirky and colourful. They have a reception room with open fire and wine hour at 5pm. I loved the infused water with fruit by the lifts a fab touch. Location couldn’t ask for more a stone throw from union square. We had breakfast at tratto and pinecrest diner which was down the street a few minutes walk it was great WiFi free and worked very well. . There is a lot of restaurants choices near the hotel. I would recommend this hotel it ticked all the box

My husband and I stayed at The Marker from Nov. 24 -27, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, they made sure we felt like we were one of their special guest. Jackson, at the front desk, was my favorite customer service person. He was simply extraordinary. Went way beyond guest services. We checked in quickly and was escorted to our room with our bags. First class accommodations. The rooms are a little smaller than what I usually stay in, but its San Francisco and space is at a premium. I loved the decor and the way the room was set up. The amenities, i.e., body wash, shampoo, were exceptional - loved the smell of these products. Every evening there is a happy hour downstairs by the fireplace. I had a few requests and Jackson took care of them right away. Customer service is top notch here. I didn't have a view from my window the first night, but Jackson was able to change my room on the second night. I could sit in my window and people watch when we were in the room for a little while. We didn't come to sit in the room, so this was not a big problem either way. I highly recommend The Marker Hotel. Close to everything. We took Uber and got on the bus to many of the locations we wanted to see. It cost $9.00 to go to Pier 39 for a boat cruise. I wouldn't hesitate to make reservations again at The Marker. Loved it!!!! Going back next year!!
