My first impression of walking into my upgraded room was "Am I at a Holiday Inn"? The carpet and drapes were very worn. In carpet was stretched out and bunching up in the traffic areas like it had been steam cleaned too many times. The windows are fitted with a vent that is supposed to let in fresh air. Unfortunately because of this feature noise from the street is very loud in the room. I was woken up 3 out of the 4 nights that I stated at this property. I mentioned this and they sent someone up to inspect which did no good. The are a large number of emergency sirens that go off in the city during the night. Between 3 and 4 AM the garbage is collected and the banging that results in this activity if very loud also. To add injury to insult the hotel charges $39 for the breakfast buffet and for Gold members drops the price to $25 which is still outrageous. I should have stayed at a Marriott where they typically include breakfast for Gold members. For what they charge for this hotel you can find better value at another property.

the rooms are lovely, the location is easy and the staff is very very nice. I recommend - it's a reliable experience. If you get a chance, walk over to the sister hotel and go up to the CityScape bar at the top of the Hilton. It's an amazing view.

A little late on writing this review - Came up the 1st of March. Upon checking in, we were talking to Cristina, and told her that my sister and I were in San Francisco for her birthday. Hearing that it was her birthday, she gave us a upgrade/breakfast, which was unexpected, but so kind of her. She didn't have to do that, and it was a very nice and much appreciated gesture (considering we were planning on going out that night, breakfast was life or death). The rooms were nice, and the complimentary breakfast was surprisingly great. Will definitely be staying at this hotel again next time I come to San Francisco. Thanks Cristina!

The Hilton Parc 55 San Francisco is a great hotel in a good location. In the lobby of the hotel, you can learn about Alcatraz Island. The rooms are good. They have breakfast to go (around $3 each item) or to eat in a restaurant ($30 to $40 per person). The only bad point is that the pool is located in the other Hilton building across the street. The location is really good, many restaurants, bakeries, cafes, stores, malls around the hotel. Also, there is a subway station and a street car close to the hotel.

I stayed here 5 nights in a double room. I was in San Fran for a conference so the university paid for it- I would not spend that amount of money on a hotel. The location was great though, next to the cable car turnaround! Very comfortable bed, very quiet. The room was big and nice, very clean. Same for the bathroom. Despite not having put them on the floor, I was changed towels every day. Nice complimentary coffee in the room. The staff was nice and the service very good.
