Luxury suite with plenty of room and good amenities. We had a large suite and the decor was very tasteful and attention to detail was carefully planned. Superb hotel and there was a restaurant bar adjoining the hotel.

I stayed two nights at the Scarlet Huntington during the week for my birthday. In summary, my experience was not stellar, but it was alright. The service - the doorman was really nice and polite. I ran into housekeeping a few times going in and out of my room but they were always nice and courteous. My only complaint was that on the night I checked in, I had asked how much it would be to upgrade, and the man behind the front desk gave me an "are you kidding me" look. I wanted to ask about other amenities, but he seemed like he was already stressed out or something that I didn't want to push it further. The last day when I checked out, there was a woman at the front desk, and she seemed to be doing multiple things at once. The front phone was ringing off the hook, it was distracting during the process. The room - I got the suite, and I loved how big and spacious it was. The views were fantastic. Mine overlooked the city down Nob Hill. The beds were super soft. The furnishings and the colors were a little bit kitschy for my taste, but it was still nice nonetheless. The soap and lotion are not L'Occitane brand, as pictured at Oyster.com. The amenities - room service was prompt, and the food was good. I ordered breakfast around 7am, and the food arrived in less than 45 minutes. I did not get a chance to use the towncar, although they say that it can only drop you off a mile out between 10-4. Nob Hill Spa was the main reason I stayed here. The steam room, the sauna, the jacuzzi, the pool, and the deck was just what I needed. The facility was top notch. I stayed on a week day, so the place wasn't that busy. My friend and I had the whole pool area to ourselves between 10-12. The location- right on top of Nob Hill. If you're not getting a ride up, you will be hiking up the almost 45 degree hill. It sets right next to Huntington park, where the Huntington mansion used to be, and Grace Cathedral, where the Crocker mansion used to be. The Big 4 restaurant - The restaurant has that old-fashioned charm to it. My friend and I must have walked in during slow hours. We took the bar, and ordered our drinks. My friend had ordered a burger and the pot pie (which was amazing btw). The bartender (caucasian, female, says shes from Florida; apologies, forgot her name) was really nice and super down-to-earth. She was able to give me some great non-tourist-trap recommendations. In conclusion, I wish my experience with the front staff had been more stellar, but that is not the case. A nice time was had, nonetheless. Please adequately staff the front desk.

We booked an Executive Room here and were shocked at how big it was! Our friends booked the room right below Executive and had the same large size as well, but our view was better so maybe that is the difference. Our room overlooked the park across the street and we even had views of the Bay! Check in was easy and quick. We ordered room service and it was pretty pricey but that's to be expected in San Fran, nothing surprising there. Great location too! I would definitely come back and bring my kids. You can't beat the room size here!

The service here is very professional and the rooms are large and comfortable. The view from the top of nob hill is impressive and you are right next to grace cathedral, which has yoga on Tuesday evenings. I had a very comfortable stay here.

Overall we had a great stay at the Huntington. When we arrived we requested a room change because they had put us right next to the elevator and I suspected it might be loud. They had no problem moving us. The room was larger than I assumed it would be and very nice and clean. At night it was extremely quiet and with the curtains closed dark as night. I slept amazingly well! Employees were friendly and helpful. The restaurant Big 4 downstairs was great. It had an old school vibe and that was fun and different. We didn't use the spa or pool but we checked it out and it looked great. The only downfalls I can think of was one night my husband decided to order a burger and fries from room service. He was told it would be 18 dollars. The next day when we checked out it was 45 dollars for the burger and fries. The service charge, tax and whatever other fees they added on really added up! Lesson, don't order room service. Also we were told there was a town car service that was limited to a mile. Luckily one evening we had reservations for a place exactly a mile away. Only to find out the service ended at 4 o clock. That seems really early.
