We have travelled to San Francisco just prior to departing on a cruise ship and I can say that this is an excellent hotel for a short break prior to departure. The moment you walk in the door you feel at home with very friendly reception staff . The hotel has a great deal of character which makes it special rather than an airport hotel. The location is excellent but you will need to have lots of stamina or happy to take a taxi or trolley bus as the streets are very steep. The views are great from the higher floors. All in all an excellent stay and I would recommend it

We had a beautiful view of the city in a architecturally pleasing room. The room was decorated with flare. My only suggestion would be towel bars by the sink. The bathtub and toilet were at the far end of the grand size bathroom (& you could close a door to separate) You had to walk, dripping on the floor to dry. Hooks on the back of the bathtub section door would have been more convenient for a bathrobe rather than by the sink but no big deal. The rooms were beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful it was a very good experience!

Stayed here many times over the last 25 years. Always a favorite stop on our travels. Great Nob Hill location. A small hotel with big service. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The park and church across the street are convenient and a pleasant way to spend the morning. The Big 4 bar is a favorite place for an evening drink and we love the piano player. The hotel is decorated nicely in unique reds and golds. We were upgraded to a large corner room with great city views and had a separate living area with lots of windows and area to relax. The bathroom is nicely appointed and I appreciate two sinks. The bed was very comfortable. Robes, slippers, coffee maker all provided. A wonderful stay.

The hotel Huntington is a relaxed, quiet , and classy property to stay at in San Francisco. This is a smaller hotel, so there are no big business conferences and goings on that many of the business hotels have. It is located on now hill,so there are few restaurants etc. nearby, it is primarily a residential neighborhood, however, the cable car stops directly in front of the hotel. We wound up walking to union square and china town which are downhill, and took an Uber back. The rooms at the hotel are classic, ours was a one bedroom suite that was very roomy, had a kurig coffee machine and a mini fridge. The staff was totally amazing, everyone went the extra mile to make our stay very pleasant, from the doormen,to the waitstaff at the restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet , classy hotel in San Francisco. - Ocean Gate, New Jersey

We first stayed at the HuntingtonHotel 25 yrs ago and this was our 3rd trip back. Now remodeled and under new management it is still as good as ever and an old fashioned charmer. The assistant manager, Luis, is a dedicated person who does everything possible to make the guest feel special and as if he/she is the only person in the hotel - a good feat since it was actually packed when we were there. We had a difficult time time venturing out since the food (restaurant and room service) was excellent, the view from our room superb (& nice fresh air coming in the windows) and the new whimsical decor fun to look at. Small and personable but definitely lux.
