Reviews for The Scarlet Huntington
Very old school style at this place. Elevators were fast!! And the pool area hide s nice overlook . There was a cool piano bar that offered fancu drinks and food. It was in Top of knob hill and a 10 min walk in any direction can keep you occupied. Our suite was amazing!
I've been staying here for about 6 years and bringing clients with me, as well as referring them. I am a global event planner for high end events. I used to love the sales people that I worked with at this property, who have all since left, and used to love this property. The rooms are showing serious signs of wear and tear even though they had been renovated only 2-3 years ago when Scarlet took over. The first room that i got this trip was full of smoke, 2 rooms later I got a nice room but there were food crumbs left in it-we took a picture. It took an hour for them to fix the cluster they had made of reservations for my group, they had the wrong credit cards, even though I went over and over the details, causing me to miss a meeting. I also was sent the wrong groups rooming list earlier in the week, Imagine this? I feel bad for the good employees that are still there the lovely waitress we had at big four, the happy doorman & bellman, this place has seen far better days. Oh and when you complain the GM writes a note basically calling you a complainer and blaming you the client for the hotels shortcomings.

Stayed at Scarlet Huntington last night for the first time. Our GREAT experience started with Joan in reservations. Due to convention in SF all of our favorite hotels were completely sold out, as was the Huntington. This was a last minute trip due to a rescheduled doctors appointment . Around 2pm Joan took my name & number & said she would call me if anything opened up. I was not expecting to hear back but at about 3pm she called & said she just got a cancellation! Every single hotel staff member was genuinely friendly & accommodating. When we got to our room we were elated as we were upgraded to a two room suite! This property is classy, immaculate & comfortable. There was a lovely & talented pianist in the lounge, charming restaurant (we only had breakfast). We will be back! Many thanks to Joan and the rest of the wonderful staff! Joanie from Chico
we had never stayed in San Francisco before and decided to stay at the Scarlett Huntington. you could walk to downtown ferry building if you wanted but it was on the cablecar route up the hill if you needed it. It was also close to the cross town cable cars on Hyde Street. The rooms were big and comfortable while the restaurant also provided us with ample choice for afternoon snack or dinner. The in house spa was relaxing and luxurious with dressing gowns and towels provided. all in all a great experience with friendly staff and relatively cheap.

Very nice Hotel overlooking San Fran, it has an old established feel to it. Huge room sadly not facing all the great views but very comfortable. Thought the bathroom was a little average for such a prestige establishment. Good stay though and most enjoyable.
