The booking process at The Scarlet Huntington Hotel was flawless, the rooms were beautiful, staff was excellent, top notch service. Both food and service was truly outstanding! Exceeded our expectations and has set an extremely high bar for the rest of our stay in San Francisco.

I've enjoyed my stay, the room is huge and very comfortable, the staff if so kind and helpful, they have a storage room and kept all the packages that I've received during the week and overall it had a very nice atmosphere.

This oddity of a hotel is only partially updated from its early 20th century origins. Much of the hardware and and fixtures are old, but the guest room furniture is all 1970s disco meets Italian discount warehouse. You don’t see this everyday: iridescent purple upholstered chairs with lime green wood frames. Take it is stride, appreciate the gorgeous view of Nob Hill and the Bay in the distance, and definitely visit the old-school lobby bar, pleasantly locked in an era decades before disco.

This isn't the biggest or the fanciest hotel on Nob Hill. It's actually just across from a few of the the old grand palaces. But this place has personality and charm that other brands can't touch (or purchase). Walk in and have a look around. You will feel like you have travelled back to another - calmer - time. I had a perfectly furnished one bedroom suite with quite a view of the city. It seemed enormous and had all of the standard luxury touches, including a beautiful walk in shower (and tub!) room. A well kept secret. Well worth a stay. .
