A gorgeous hotel situated right on top of Nob Hill, right near Grace Cathedral and opposite a lovely public open space / park. We were upgraded to a jaw dropping Executive Room with outstanding views of the Cathedral and San Francisco skyline to the Bay. The room was beautifully appointed, lovely decor, very large with bedroom, sitting room, dressing room, bathroom and study areas. Bed very comfortable and bathroom was great. Spotlessly clean. We knew we were on a winner when locals we had met, upon finding out we were staying at The Scarlet Huntington, exclaimed it was The Best hotel in the city and the preferred hotel choice for locals. All staff were welcoming and professional, they looked very slick in their uniforms and were very helpful. Upscale restaurant on site, we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts, dinner and evening drinks there. We thought it was great value for money, whilst not budget priced the hotel is reasonably priced, in our opinion. We really enjoyed our stay at The Scarlet Huntington.

The location is a bit away from the more congested parts of the city in a good location. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean, comfortable well appointed, and quiet. The bar has a very clubby feel, with dark wood and comfy leather chairs and a pianist. A great place to stay.

We stayed here for two nights. It was a perfect location for exploring the city. Upon arrival, we were greeted with very friendly doorman named James. At check in, we were instantly upgraded to a junior suite. The hallway to our room was a bit stinky, so I had my fingers crossed. Our room was huge! (And not stinky!). Very spacious & comfortable. We had views of Grace cathedral. I'm not a huge fan of the decor, but it's clean & comfortable. Our room included a seating area, small fridge, kuerig, and desk area. Bathroom was very spacious as well. We ordered room service for breakfast twice. Very nice display, table wheeled right in. It was expensive. We only ordered one omelette & it was big enough for two. (With toast & coffee). It was nice having the restaurant attached. We walked through the spa & pool. It was very nice, we did not use it. The pool is only open to 16 & over. (Important to know for families!). The gym is a small room. It's basic, clean & simple. No treadmill. I would recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again.

This was our second time staying at The Scarlet Huntington and we continue to be greatly impressed. The location is fantastic and central to much of San Francisco. We found much within walking distance. The hotel staff are very friendly and really seem to remember us as we come and go. Security is top notch and the elegant hotel is in a nice part of town (Nob Hill). The spa is very relaxing and we utilized this daily. We are already looking forward to our next trip to SF and we will certainly be staying here again! -Jacob F. August 2017

When we arrived, valet was prompt and polite. We stayed in a junior suite, with a cool view of part of the city. The room was decorated very uniquely, everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. Only change I would make is an update to the bathroom, new showers and bigger sink area. The restaurant downstairs is an absolute must! A very classy bar and restaurant, great food and service.
