Booked very last minute for one night. John at the door was amazing and had great recommendations for parking/etc. Room/floor was very quiet and really enjoyed our stay. Loved the robes and slippers for downtime. We were centrally located and were able to walk to dinner and around downtown with no issues. Overall had an awesome experience.

Location is great, other than that it didn’t feel like a five star hotel really. Quite average. Small rooms- mine was facing another room. Almost no natural light in my room, had to have the lights on at 9 in the morning. Saving grace is the location.

Hotel is well appointed, comfortable beds, well sized bathrooms but what really makes Campton Place stand out above the rest is their exceptional staff.. from the doorman, concierge , housekeeping and front desk, all 5 star! Campton Place management should be proud of their fantastic team. They truly made our two stays memorable and special.

It is a hotel with a lot of history with great chefs, early on Charlie Trotter was a cook here, and in the 1990s Daniel Humm of 11 Madison in New York fame worked here as the culinary master. The kitchen is being remodeled and I believe it will maintain high standards. The Bellman, Reception Desk and Housekeeping staff are helpful and friendly and really go beyond what one could normally expect. Thank you everyone for a marvelous stay and the great rooms in a wonderful hotel on Union Square.
