Outside the historic colonial city of San Jose del Cabo, on the tip of Mexicoâ€(TM)s Baja Peninsula, Barcelo Los Cabos is a tranquil paradise. Tropical gardens and giant desert cacti surround the guestrooms and suites that offer a pleasing blend of Mediterranean and Mexican details. From the welcoming Chula Vista restaurant, to the freeform, sandstone poolâ€"where the sound of waterfalls mingles with the distant thunder of the Sea of Cortezâ€"a soothing atmosphere pervades this inviting property.

My Husband and I just returned back from a week at GR Solaris Lighthouse Los Cabos. Here is our honest review with the Pros and Cons of the trip. Pros - Clean - our room was clean and stocked daily with beer, water and a couple soda's - Patio - the patio was lovely, we enjoyed sitting on it in the afternoons and evenings - Beach - the beach that the resort is on is very nice and the merchants don't bother you - Pools - Family Pool, Adult only Pool and hot tub all great - Location - this is a great location, we walked downtown twice and also around the resort to different stores and restaurants Al la Carte restaurant - both Italian and Mexican were not bad Entertainment - Entertainment staff was good and the shows were entertaining Demographic - Families, Couples, lots of Canadians which we like Cons - Pool chairs - they definitely have a pool chair issue with people putting towels on them very early in the morning and not returning all day to use it. - Al la Carte restaurant - The sushi one was impossible to get a reservation at as they don't have enough room to accommodate people all week - Security - not sure they even had security at the front when people arrived, anyone can basically walk into the hotel - Food - I would say no matter what you can always find something to eat, but I wouldn't give the food a high rating - Room service - We ordered room service one night and half the food didn't even show up, and they never came back when we told them it didn't arrive. You also have to pay $5.00 to get is delivered. - Make sure you bring a YETI or your own glass to drink out of - Overall cleanliness - needs a bit of work in the restaurants Huge shout out to Antuan for helping us reserve and pay for two cabanas on the last two days of our trip, since it was hard to get pool chairs, he was so helpful in helping us secure the cabana's which made our last two days so great!

A great experience across the board. Rooms were clean and comfy. The entertainment team of Fernando, Fabiola and Kishiro were outstanding! Waitstaff, housekeeping, front desk and facilities support were all ready to go above and beyond. Look forward to returning.

We dined at Francesco at GR Solaris Lighthouse. It was a delicious dinner. The service from Bruno was excellent. The smoked salmon, green pepper steak and sponge cake with fruit dessert. WOW! We will be back on Thursday.
