Staying in one of their Penthouses and we are throughly enjoying the trip. The old Deli was changed to a Starbucks but they carry more the simple scones or muffins. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have multiple pools so be careful about a pool view.to of the pools are surrounded by buildings and are more of a serenity or reflection pool. If you're thinking about the large pool area views make sure you get Ocean views.

Although I am a Diamond Member, we booked tnis trip through a promotion before Diamond bought our original time share (Beach Quarters.) Before staying at this diamond property and one in Kisseme in 2016, I was extremely unhappy with my time share (still am.) However, Cabo Azul is one of those places that is really making up for it. The property is impeccable, the rooms, OMG the rooms! The architecture is gorgeous, all of the details from the fire pits, to the lighting, to the wonderfully temperatured pools, this property is top-notch-5 stars. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because I feel like there could be a few more activities going on on the property to keep you occupied. However there are several restaurants and a couple of music bars (rock & roll & a jazz/tapas bar) literally right across the street, so that does make up for it.

Russ and Monwella were fantastic guides. So knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We saw both humpbacks and Orcas. What a treat. Multiple pods of of three or more orcas. Humpbacks were busy teaching the young to dive and breach. Nice short trip but with high rewards.

We stayed here Jan 6th-Jan 9th 2018. Check in was a breeze, the amenities were nice, the grounds are nice, and the restaurants are all worth eating at (there are only 2 on the main grounds). The food was always excellent and fresh, the breakfast buffet was a big hit. The only thing lacking a bit was the service near the beachfront (drinks, etc) but other than that, excellent. Would love to stay again next time near SJD.
