Was there for a wedding. What a great place to stay! Rooms are massive and beautiful. Grounds are quiet and lovely. Pools...everywhwere! Just a lot of service and class and nice amenities for the money!!

Everything about our stay was excellent - amenities, food, especially the outstanding service. Food at the restaurants was very reasonably priced and high quality. And, per a previous review, our friends were "the old farts on the beach smoking cigars" and they had a great time too!

When I say "American" I mean pricing and a higher quality than I am used to in Cabo. Sure there is the Cabo required amenities - swim up bar, poolside loungers galore, sun and sand, but the pricing of food and drinks on site is comparable to what you would find at home. So if you think you will save on food and drink because "everything is cheaper in Mexico", think again. Not complaining, just be prepared for "normal" pricing - $4 can of Pacifico, $8+\- for well drinks that are about 10-12oz. Love this - "happy hour" is 2 for 1, but the cups miraculously get smaller, like 6oz or so. The units and grounds are fabulous (as expected) as is the service and cleanliness. A+ This is a huge resort with a TON of rooms and most don't have ocean views. If you care about such things, investigate. Beach is awesome to watch, but certainly no place to play in the water as there is a severe undertow and huge breakers right onto the shoreline. Smoking is only allowed on the beach and in front of the resort and this is strictly enforced. A family friendly environment so not many were noted except the old farts with cigars on the beach everyday. All in all a very nice resort, highly recommended.

We took a last minute trip to Cabo after a very wet winter in California. The last minute nature made finding a place where we could share on unit with our three kids comfortably kind of difficult. But we luckily stumbled upon Cabo Azul. We got a 3 bedroom suite overlooking the pool and ocean. The rooms were beautiful and impeccably maintained and extremely comfortable. The hotel and its staff were amazing and the pools were just perfect for our kids. The location is fantastic. It is across the street 1 minute walk to several restaurants and shops, walking distance (about 1 mile) to quaint downtown San Jose del Cabo (or short taxi or bus) and 1/2 mile from a big box store (can't remember name) where everything is available at reasonable prices. Overall - can't say enough good about this place and it amazing staff!

Our first trip to Cabo and we were spoiled to stay in such a beautiful resort. The food and service was wonderful! We enjoyed the cabanas on the beach and took advantage of the happy hour in the pool! Great resort and great experience!!!!
