What a beautiful resort. We had such a great time. The pools, grounds, rooms, and everything is just stunning. They are constantly taking care of things, without being intrusive at all. Everyone we encountered were simply delightful. So polite and courteous. Some have complained about the timeshare aspect, we're owners so I knew what to expect. After checking in we were approached by a member of the sales team who presented us with a "welcome package". I thanked him and let him know we would not be attending a meeting, period. He was polite, gave me my packet and said if we changed our minds to let him know, that was the end of it. I love this property, can't wait to return with my whole family.

Planned this visit for over a year and the entire family and oldest son's gf made the trip. Stayed in a 2bdrm, ocean view. Property is very nice and the people very helpful and attentive. Meals and drinks are a bit pricey, but the grocery store is a 10-15 minute walk up the road and taxi is only a few dollars for the ride back. Full kitchens including dishwasher, so cooking was not a problem at all. Off site food establishments are pretty reasonable and food very good. Great weather and exercise for all! Will definitely go back again.

The resort was very modern, spacious, clean and best of all GREAT staff. We had an ocean view 2 bedroom 2 bath that was very large. If you never left the property you had everything you could need right there. .

This is the second time in a year we stayed at Cabo Azul. It is gorgeous, a great location, and the staff is lovely. That said, the fact that you have to pay for all drinking water at such a nice hotel is something I can't look past again. Water stations set up throughout the resort should be mandatory. It is robbery to have to pay for every drink of water. I felt it more this time being 7 months pregnant, and trying to remember to have my husband or myself get to the store in the heat to buy drinking water to make it through the night. I really hope this is something management takes to heart because we can't come back to this lovely place until this changes.

Where to stay, where to stay? There is sooo much to choose from. Which Cabo? San Lucas or San Jose? ok that's easy for me. Cabo San Lucas is a party town with lots of drinking and music pouring out onto the streets from everywhere. We're too old for all of that. Just by luck I picked San Jose del Cabo and we went for waterfront so we'd have a pool and the beach. No swimming in the ocean but a nice walk in the sand, or by horseback is wonderful. The town is a mile by foot so not so far, although when it's hot the walk can be long. Taxis will charge $7, steep by they have AC. I did not look into each of the other properties in person so my impressions are based on the websites and pricing. I can get obsessive at this part of planning, I feel comfortable with my results. Cabo Azul Resort is lovely. It's better than the pictures. The pools are great and refreshing. Loads of lounge chairs and towels. we never lacked for a space to chill, however we did go early May so it's a bit off season. We went with a Junior Suite with no view and paid about two hundred a night which included the resort fee. Not facing the ac units and the party bar across the street would be worth a bit more but I didn't regret my choice. The rooms are large and have a separate seating area. the bathroom has 2 full sinks, his & hers but no tub, just a shower. Water pressure could have been better. I think the rooms need a table and two chairs for in room dining. There was no comfortable way to have a room service meal. The restaurant food is overpriced and horrible, the drinks are watered down. Better to go across the street to any of the places in the mall for ok food that's priced accordingly. In town you'll have EXCELLENT eating and if you have a car some superior dinning is within reach. This part of the Cabos is all about food, so why the resort isn't on board is a big mistake. The resort has a convenience store and a Starbucks. You don't have to have a heavy breakfast. I love my cup of coffee in the morning and I prefer a Starbucks over Mr. Coffee. You won't need a car if you stay here, but you'll have more fun if you do. You can rent on site from Thrifty and park in the hotel lot. One day we drove to Todos Santos and another time we went in to Cabo san Lucas to take a sunset dinner cruise. That was a blast. The town has some evening activities that are enjoyable and an organic market with prepared foods as well, in season. If you want a more lush experience you'll have to pay a lot more. What was missing here? Free bottles of water in the room, newspapers at the door each morning and a binder with all the info you need. We didn't have one, so they either don't exist or ours had gone missing. Right before I left to go to on this trip i noticed that the price of the one bedroom villas had gone down to the same price that we paid for the suite. There was availability but we couldn't get a free upgrade. Upgrades are standard practice at many resorts and we've gotten quite a few. Here because of the time share aspect of the property, I believe, the staff doesn't have the power to do those kinds of things. I see that reflected in other reviews. In any case the price difference was considerable for a more upscale stay. I was very pleased with out choice had a great time and would recommend Cabo Azul to anyone.
