HGV Cabo Azul is an amazing place. The staff were ALL fabulous, pleasant, friendly and hardworking people. This place is immaculate inside and out . We faced the pool and the ocean . What a spectacular view. Every day we had housekeeping unlike a lot of places these days. Oh and turn down service at night. The food was good . All the pools are wonderful. We spent one full day at the Serenity Pool which is adults only. Really fabulous. Pool staff were very attentive at all pools. Lots of daily activities if you want to join in . I particularly enjoyed pool Zumba with Ms Cruz ( sorry I forgot her first name) she was great. Very energetic! I can’t say enough about this wonderful place!! If you get there earlier than check in time be sure to have your bathing suits ready!

Wow—just wow. I knew it looked pretty online, but we were blown away upon arrival. The hotel is beautiful and the staff works so hard to keep it clean and in tip top shape. We had a king room in building 1, 2nd floor. It was overlooking the pool and the ocean and felt like the most convenient spot to be in. What makes this place the most special…the staff. Jerimias, our pool attendant was incredible. Always available when we needed him and kept the drinks flowing for me. Christian and Sebastian were also very warm and inviting—bringing next pillows to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. Max was also so kind—I asked where the Starbucks was and he walked me all the way there early one morning. Food: We ate at Javier’s two nights and it was good both times. The real gem…THE POOL MENU! The pizza from the pool menu is something we’ll be talking about for a while. We had the one with shrimp and pineapple and OMG—chefs kiss! Flor de Noche was ok. We had that upon arrival and it was too busy to really get the service we expected, but it hit the spot after a long travel day. Pool: The pool was great and the beds were plentiful.

This place is incredible. Loved everything about it and the workers are so friendly and helpful. I don’t understand how anyone can rate this place below a 5. I really liked the pools and the day beds on the beach. Check in was super easy and we felt very taken care of.

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend. The hotel was well laid out, the pools were excellent, and we loved our room - we had an ocean view 1 bedroom suite in building 5. The room was very large, clean, well laid out, and with an amazing balcony. Our experience with the pool chairs was positive. There is a wide variety of pool loungers and cabanas and we were always able to find a nice set without getting up too early. I did observe staff trying to free up chairs that had been reserved and not used by 10am. The food onsite (flor de noche and Javier’s) was high quality and expensive. We appreciated the quality and alternated eating at the hotel and offsite - lots of good options across the street and in nearby San Jose del Cabo. We stayed for a week and every meal was great.

First off, the pros: the place is still as beautiful and clean as it’s always been. We were given a beautiful one bedroom ocean view room on the fifth floor of building two thanks to Christian. Cleaning service was excellent and they came twice a day. All the pools were open and the water temperature was perfect. THE BEST pool attendant there was Irving. He was very friendly and would run to get you what you needed. Now, the cons: the place was packed and everyone would reserve chairs around the pool with a shoe, book, hat, etc. starting before 6 am. Many chairs sat empty until after 10 am! We talked to a couple of timeshare reps and told them of our complaints and the one guy said that they’ve heard this SO much from guests and it should be hopefully fixed by the next time we come back! I say FIX IT NOW!! NONE of the staff took stuff off of the chairs even though the signs around said that they would take the stuff if the chair was not occupied for 30 minutes. If they had, maybe this wouldn’t have been an issue. Also, there were always young kids in the hot tubs playing football without parents even though the sign clearly states that the hot tubs are for adults only OR children under 16 accompanied by a parent. A second con here is the placement of the smoking areas. They are placed right on the edge of the property so the stinky smoke drifts into the bottom pool all day long. These should be moved way out of the property so the smell doesn’t come in. Third con: the waiters and pool staff weren’t always very accessible when the place was full. I get that they were busy, but Hilton should hire more staff when they’re at full capacity. Last con: nothing special for members. I think they should give each member one free drink of their choice instead of a tiny shot of tequila. The prices for drinks here are horrendous, so that would be a nice gesture.

Cabo Azul was a beautiful resort. The premiere restaurant, Javier, was also excellent. We had spa services that were in a lovely setting and well executed. If you are looking to get out of the hustle bustle of Cabo San Lucas head up the coast to this exquisite resort.
