Can't say enough about is property. From the lobby to the room the architecture is stunning. Great food, friendly staff, good music. Wonderful view of the marina from my room, lovely large soaker tub. Beach club across the inlet was a treat, as an early riser I had it To myself for a few hours. I would go back in a heart beat

I loved every moment of my stay at Hotel El Ganzo. I traveled solo, as I was looking for a relaxing, beachy getaway, and I could not have been happier. As other reviewers have noted, it's off the beaten path and far from the Cabo party scene, so you won't encounter any spring breakers, sloppy frat dudes or loud families (it's 18+.) The rooftop pool is perfect - there's a long infinity pool as well as a heated fishbowl pool - both overlook the ocean. There are plenty of comfy lounge chairs, as well as a bar with drinks and food - full service. I'm not sure why someone said there's no beach, as there is actually a lovely beach club. It's just across the water but it's incredibly easy to get to- you walk down the hotel stairs directly onto the dock - you get in a motorized boat, and 45 seconds later, you're at the beach. This particular beach is the only swim-able one in Cabo - it's up against the bay and the water is calm and crystal clear. The beach club has a full bar and restaurant as well with impeccable service (Oscar and team are amazing.) I highly recommend the shrimp tostada and white lady (if you want delicious Mezcal)! I spent a good 7 hours combined lounging at the beach. The food was amazing - this is FRESH mexican food - fish, ceviches, sopas, tostadas, etc. They had hamburgers, quesadillas, nachos on the menu etc, but you can get that stuff at any old Mexican restaurant in SoCal. The room service menu is different from the restaurant menu, which is different from the beach club menu.... so there was tons of variety. The sopas were awesome, as was the cauliflower ceviche and the flan. The spa was also just what I needed after a day of travel. I had a massage, mani and pedi with Idé and it was a dream. I will say that the spa services were unexpectedly expensive (especially as compared to the room rates and food cost - both of which I found to be pretty affordable.) That said, I thought it was worth the splurge. The gym was also quiet with treadmills, elipticals, bikes and weights. Overall this is a gorgeous spot, with the friendliest, nicest staff. I can't say enough good things.

My first impression will be a lasting impression. Never been to Mexico, and when I go back, will only go to Cabo and El Ganzo. Great place and beautiful location. I had dinner at restaurant once and it was very good. Morning coffee is strong! Elizabeth in dining room does an excellent job. Lunch at Beach Club was delicious. Alex is an awesome bartender and same for Oscar our waiter. As I walked around hotel, I noticed I was always acknowledged with a smile and a hello! Gentlemen at front desk were great in explaining everything, and Pablo who showed me my room, how to use coffee pot! The staff was so genuine, friendly and over the top attentive. Great place, friendly and casual.

We went to El Ganzo to check it out for a future trip to the marina at San Jose de Cabo, Mexico and had dinner in their main restaurant. The hotel grounds, public areas, personnel were fabulous and welcoming and make us want to book reservations immediately but the restaurant was so mediocre we would not consider eating there again. One friend became ill after eating their "catch of the day," and was ill for days. I will be in touch with the hotel directly to let them know how unimpressive the menu items sounded and they tasted worse even though staff was enjoyable, friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I along with guests visited El Ganzo beach on several occasions. A beautiful spot, excellent service, friendly staff. Water is calm in the bay and very few people were in the area. I would recommend a visit to El Ganzo.
