Hotel El Ganzo

Hotel El Ganzo in San José del Cabo absolutely blew us away—even though we weren’t guests at the hotel. We showed up three nights in a row with fish we had caught ourselves, and every single time the kitchen turned it into an incredible meal. Thoughtful preparation, flawless execution, and seriously delicious results. It felt personal, not performative—like they genuinely cared about making the experience special. The service was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and effortlessly polished. And the vibe? Spot on. Elegant but never stiff, relaxed but still refined. El Ganzo has that rare atmosphere where you feel comfortable lingering—great energy, great design, great people. As the Pixies sang, “I got plenty of time” — Pixies That lyric fits perfectly here, because El Ganzo is the kind of place where you want to slow down, savor the moment, and stay a little longer than planned. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just passing through with a fresh catch, El Ganzo delivers an unforgettable experience. Can’t recommend it enough

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast of chorizo takos and fresh baked treats. Coffe is perfect atmosphere magicalbut the best part was our waiter : Hector. Warm, charming and attentive 👍highly recommend this as a destination ! Mucho gracias Hector !

I have never experience horrible hospitality at this level. I rented two rooms here visiting family here. The rooms were very basic but it accommodate to our needs there. They really got work on Service here. It really doesn’t match the hotel. First off ordering room service . First day was ok, but our second order was wrong.. no confirmation upon dropping the food order. Last was check out talk about locking us out at exactly 10 am. Thru came at 945 am to tell us they are coming to clean the room. We told the cleaners that we just need a few minutes our ride to arrive. Then another person came at exactly 10 am saying that we need to be out. We left then at exactly 10 am, and waited for our ride to pick us up at the lobby. The front desk tried to apologize to us but it really felt insincere to us. We later heard them talking about us on another language at the lobby us, then chuckling after .. Just be careful making reservations here, and would not recommend this place, due to of lack of service, and its employees that work there. This would be my first and last time staying at that hotel. They really need to work on customer service standards to there brand. Horrible!

So much fun… five stars! Hector and Eric took great care of us at the beach! Erica at the front desk incredibly helpful after flight got canceled 3 times. Manu the front desk manager was great too. Really kind good people!

The food was delicious and very unique. Everything was done to perfection and the service by Missy was wonderful! We will be back!!!
