Reviews for Las Ventanas al Paraiso, a Rosewood Resort
Excellent service in a beachfront location. Staff is extremely friendly and well trained. Rooms are very well appointed. The location is not ideal for swimming in the sea as there is a bit of current. The pool is very nice though; the best location to chill out is on the lawn. Food is generally very good; for dinner a beachfront table at the Sea Grill is recommended. Prices as in other top notch locations in Mexico are commensurate with the level of service or sometimes even higher.
Highly recommend Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Cabo, we have never experienced this level of service in a hotel like this. A butler is available at any time of day or night to handle any request that you can imagine, from simple food and drink orders to transportation to shopping and trip excursions, they were amazing. The hotel facilities are world class in one of the most beautiful locations in Cabo. Highest recommendation for a high end hotel with a peaceful atmosphere and incredible service.
Where do I begin?! Las Ventanas is a couple's vacation DREAM. I could go on and on about the level of service at this hotel. And the level of romance is simply unparalleled. This hotel EXCELS at creating experiences (just like they advertise) and go out of their way to make sure their guests are as happy as possible! We were able to witness romantic dinner setups on the beach and lucky enough to witness 2 fireworks displays. From the cold towels, to the fresh fruit popsicle cart, to the man that cleaned our sunglasses poolside daily, to the basket of fresh breads, fresh juices, and assorted preserves at breakfast, the list seriously goes on and on! The pool staff WORKS so hard every second of the day moving umbrellas, filling up ice buckets, replenishing water, and making sure if you are napping that not an inch of your body gets in the sun (if you want to be shaded) and ever-so-quietly adjust your umbrella so you wake up feeling refreshed and not sunburned! The Butlers assigned to each guest are incredible. They made our trip unforgettable, helping us coordinate dinners, transportation, activities, etc. We had Gerardo, Brenda, and Silvano throughout our 5-day stay at Las Ventanas and loved all 3! The food is so FRESH and the restaurant staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone knows your name! After the convenient airport transportation with cold Coronitas in hand, you are greeted to with a Mariachi band and swiftly whisked away to the spa for a welcome massage and drink of the day. Your luggage is in your room when you arrive at your villa. The maids are fabulous - placing your things in just the right position, lighting aromas you chose that morning so your room smells AMAZING, leaving sunglass cleaners by your bed, bookmarks for your books, needle and thread for your clothes, etc. etc. The Romance department surprised us one night after dinner with rose petals on the bed and the room, candles lit, and a drawn bubble bath because it was our HONEYMOON. Even though the beach isn't swimmable, the pool overlooking the Sea of Cortez is MORE than sufficient. I could go on and on about the staff and the friendliness we experienced at Las Ventanas, but no words will ever do it justice. You MUST experience it for yourself. We will absolutely be returning to this hotel - and collecting another surprise glass heart which they give to guests upon leaving.
The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because, although it is a superlative experience, it is still not worth the nightly rate. I know it's a completely different experience, but an Aman resort is closer to deserving of such a high nightly rate. One important thing to note: there is a 34% surcharge to the rate you see published!! This includes taxes and service fees. Having said that, the positives are: The food is some of the best we've ever had. Fresh and inventive. Mexican food at its finest--this is not the same food as you would find anywhere. The resort is beautiful. Rooms are pretty and well appointed--anything you might want in the way of amenities (housekeeping left me a new tube of toothpaste when they saw mine running low; they leave you a sewing kit customized to the colors of your wardrobe). The property is gorgeous--the pools are great. I think the architecture, although at a high standard for this area, is not that interesting--the structures are basically concrete boxes, which I'm sure are great for withstanding hurricanes, but not that architecturally impressive. Service--the highest quality. People are incredibly friendly. The first day, the pool waiter we had made several mistakes in our food and drink orders (and our orders were simple--fish tacos and lime margaritas ordered several times over, and he brought us different items). But other than that, the service was beyond top notch. On our last day, we decided to watch a movie in town--somehow our butler found out, and guided us to a nicer movie theater. That's service! We were here for a friend's birthday, and they could not have been more accommodating. The birthday was spectacular. The spa: One of the best massages I have EVER had. I think the masseuse's name was Romero. I've had great massages all over the world (the Edition, the Setai, Great Jones in New York, Les Baths Scandinaves, etc.)--he was unbelievable. One catch--the massage will cost you double what it would any where else. $288 for one hour. They were having a special where it was two for one, which is the only reason I booked a treatment.

I have traveled worldwide and the service level is hands down the best. The staff takes a tremendous pride in ensuring guests relax and allow every worry to leave. What other resort in the world do you sneeze, and a staff member sprints across the room to provide you with a tissue. Just an unbelievable experience. My wife and I spent our 11 th anniversary here.....by far the best Rosewood property (we have been to several where we thought there was no way the service could be better)
