At the tip of the Baja Peninsula, the Pacific Ocean, Sea of Cortez and mountainous Baja Desert meet at a verdant oasis called Los Cabos. The One&Only Spa at the One&Only Resort, Palmilla calls this little slice of paradise home. With a gracious blend of Old Mexico and modern amenities, suites and rooms at the resort offer a sensuously elegant retreat. The Spa continues the theme of uniting ancient with modern and offers a comprehensive menu of treatments that blend Mexican, Asian and global accents for total healing and rejuvenation. From the shores of the azure Cortez, and beneath swaying palm trees, the One&Only Spa is a sanctuary dedicated to the pleasure of your senses and the rebirth of your spirit.

This was our 5th or 6th return to One & Only Palmilla and it was even more wonderful this time around. The people and service were so outstanding and made us feel part of the O&O family. From the pool attendants to the restaurants and bars we felt welcomed by staff that always had a smile and anticipated our every need. We want to make a special call out to hosts Anselmo and Elias. They took such wonderful care of us and made sure that we had everything we needed and some things we didn’t realize we needed. They were so warm and caring, we can’t sing their praises enough. We celebrated my wife’s birthday at the resort and she was so surprised at the cake and balloons in our room, the way her locker was so beautifully decorated with birthday greetings and cards at the spa and just the way she was celebrated all around. It was magical. We look forward to our return visit next year to reconnect with the staff and hopefully Anselmo and Elias.

We visited the spa at One&Only Palmilla expecting a world-class wellness experience. Instead, the experience was underwhelming and poorly managed. The spa scheduled our services incorrectly, creating overlapping appointments. Our Temazcal ceremony was inturrupted midway to rush us to the next service, disrupting what should have been a calm and restorative experience. They let us finish and pushed our massages back, but it really undermined the whole rebirth vibes. Billing was another issue. After spending several hours (and several thousands) at the spa, we were then held up for about 30 minutes because of a billing error that the spa had made. Instead of quickly resolving their mistake, they forced us to wait while staff tried to sort it out (turns out we did not owe the additional money they were trying to charge us after all!). The delay caused us to arrive late to dinner and miss part of an evening event we had planned. Dinner at Hoshi created serious concerns as well. We informed staff of a food allergy multiple times and ordered a dish clearly marked as not containing that allergen. After we had already eaten part of it, staff returned to tell us the dish actually did contain the allergen. For an experience costing thousands of dollars, the service should be seamless and attentive. Instead, it was stressful and disappointing. I would not return.

We were expecting a 5 star experience, however, at the end we were so disappointed with One and Only Palmilla. The property is beautiful, the food very good and the staff were friendly. We stayed in a suite, beautiful and comfortable with a view and breeze on our balcony. There were some minor issues but it was worked out with the assistance of our butlers/assistants. The failure is with the bill at the end. We checked out in the morning to go to the airport to fly home and when we received our statement when we returned home, we were billed for lunch at the pool that we never had (as we were at the airport at that time or signed for (and we have attended all the restaurants on the property so we knew the procedure). Through email One and Only apologized and would reimburse us in 10-15 days (unheard of that it would take this long). It has been more than 15 days (now 2/16) since we checked out at the end of January 2026 and still nothing from them. Because of this we cannot recommend this resort.

Everything about our experience was exceptional with one minor complaint. Their drink prices are outrageous. For example they charge $60 a glass for a California Cab that we pay $35 for a bottle. A margarita is $30 and a pina colada $50 per drink.

An iconic resort still offers its guests the most outstanding guest hospitality experience in Cabo. Consistently giving is customers outstanding food and service in a beautiful environment.
