Reviews for One&Only Palmilla
If you want to be treated like royalty and family at the same time, One and Only is the place to go. They anticipate your every need to relax before you ask. The sunrises are spectacular. Every room has an ocean front view. But it is the level of service that sets them above the rest. If I had to write one comment for improvement it would be that food is a little over priced.
My wife and I traveled to Cabo for our first night away from our two young children. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly and told our room wouldn’t be ready for an hour or so. We had a brief meal and were escorted to our room. Upon arriving at our $1000 per night ocean view room, we were handed a letter from the hotel letting us know that there was a large event happening on the beach (Cabo Ironman). We went to nap that afternoon and music was blaring to the extent it felt like I was sitting in a nightclub. I was willing to deal with it as it was Saturday afternoon and we figured it was a big party and not our place to complain. We had a great night and returned to our room for our first night of sleep in some time (8 week old and 2 year old at home). We were awakened at 5am by music blaring at the same volume as Saturday afternoon. I called the front desk to see what they could do and was told nothing as it was an “International Event”. Not sure why that’s an excuse but I Promm ply left the room, at 5am, and went to the front desk for an explanation and a solution. I was told there was nothing they could do to solve the problem and that they had forewarned me. This could not be further from the truth. We were told there was an event, not that we would be dealing with concert like volume within our room for our entire stay. Had I made this much noise I would have been thrown out 15 times over. I asked management to come to my room so they could appreciate the noise and they said they could hear it through my phone so there was no need. I have video from my bed which shows how loud it was but I was still shocked that literally no action was being taken. Upon checkout I was offered half off my room rate. It was a slap in the face after neither my wife nor I slept a wink and we were offered absolutely no solution while staying. Based on this experience I could never stay at this hotel again. I don’t understand how protecting the brand wouldn’t have either prevented them from renting the room during the event, or offering a major concession for dealing with it. If I owned this chain, I would have a very serious look at my management team and practices as I wouldn’t have paid $100 for this experience much less the $1000 per night rate. There are too many great places in Mexico to risk an experience like this at One & Only Palmilla.
This is an absolutely stunning resort. Gorgeous rooms with views of the ocean. Service was fantastic. The grounds, pools, and beaches are beautiful. The restaurants a bit expensive, but the food is excellent. Nice stopping center close by with grocery store and less expensive restaurants.

Superlative in every area. Could not be faulted. Everyone is so lovely and nothing was ever any trouble to the exceptional staff. The location is wonderful and having travelled throughout the world this is as good as it gets.
Beautiful resort with great ocean views. Rooms were clean and we had our own private patio pool. Quiet and peaceful. Beach and pool access. Great spa and gym. Only complaint was there were too many kids there near the Easter holiday. Overall great hotel and staff. Food was excellent!
