Twice in one week I enjoyed the restaurants and pools of Pelican Eyes resort. In the evening, they offered free live music at the lower poolside restaurant. Sunset, cocktails & lovely snacks made the evening relaxing. Two days later, I attended a brunch party for 14 of us at their top infinity pool. The service was excellent and the delicious food kept coming and coming. We preplanned the party and it was a great value considering all of the homemade food and ability to use the pool afterwards.

We came to have a regional meeting with People from all Central America. I became greatly impressed with the quality of the villas. They were so well designed and furnished!. The service was superb. I have never been so well attended by anyone else in resorts like Pelican Eyes. Maria has been the greatest hostess I have ever had. I became stomach ill during the trip but they took care of me, gave me all medicine on courtesy and attended like I was at home. Even Daniela, the reception manager, took me to town for doctors checkup! The only downside is that the site requires a bus to be taken in between the main restaurant and the villas. But other than that. it is greatly recommended! I definitely plan to return with my family soon within the year.

I recently just spent a week at Pelican Eyes. The entire trip was enjoyable, but Elizabeth, the yoga instructor, really made the trip for me. She is friendly, helpful, and one of the best teachers I've ever studied under. The grounds are beautiful and the service is great. I would definitely recommend it!

Our family of five stayed here for a week in March 2017. Several factors contributed to the poor rating, but mainly the noise of the place made this a very unrelaxing stay. A very large construction project going on right next door meant hammering and machine tools every weekday morning at 7 a.m., and continuing throughout the day. No coverings on the upper parts of the windows meant we were up with the birds at sunrise every morning, about 5:45 a.m. Along with the birds at sunrise, there was a daily cacophony of barking dogs and crowing roosters from the poor neighborhood that surrounds the property. During our 4th night, a squirrel took up residence right outside our bedroom window and screeched his squirrel calls starting at 3 a.m. and continuing on and off throughout the next couple of days. The squirrel was so loud, it sounded like it was in our room. On Monday morning, our 6th morning at Pelican Eyes, we were awakened at 4:45 a.m. by the sound of fireworks, which continued on and off throughout the morning, alternating with firecrackers/dynamite blasts, maybe part of the construction sight next door. Every time we approached the front desk with a problem or question, they seemed annoyed to interact with us. Service at the restaurant was painfully slow, and one morning after waiting for over a half hour for our food, we had to simply get up and leave because our tour bus could not wait any longer for us. A few pros: the view from our unit was beautiful (Casa Vista al Mar). Very spacious and clean two bedroom unit. Some of the staff were very friendly. Convenient location to town, walking distance to everything. I have plenty of other things I could write in this review, but I think the above information is probably enough to give you a good idea. I wouldn't stay here. You will be disappointed.

We were able to use the infinity pool, eat, drink and watch the sunset across the bay, without staying in the hotel. Dinner wonderful. Service by the pool excellent and responsive to our requirements.
