Each time i visit San Juan for races in Old San Juan and bring the family, this is my go to place. I last visited Sept 15-18, 2017 for the Lola challenge and made it a girls trip with my toddler and FINALLY got to show my mother the island. She loved the hotel and island as much I. The property is fantastic and spacious for little ones, allows for safe ocean access that can be difficult along the Atlantic coast and easy access to Condado and Old San Juan. The staff is always outstanding in this hotel and very helpful. It hurt & broke my heart to leave on Monday, Sept 18th with Maria fast approaching not knowing if i would ever see the hotel again and mi isla del encanto in her splendor. I can't wait to visit you in September 2018 when you have rebuilt yourself to be stronger and more grand. xoxo

This review is probably a bit pointless since I visited before Hurricane Maria and the hotel is now closed for renovation. I was here for a conference and stayed on level 20 of the tower. San Juan is very humid and I believe that it is very hard to not notice this indoors, but my personal experience of my room was that it wasn't too damp. I did hear other conference attendees that had other experiences but these are not firsthand. My room felt a bit dated, but well kept. However upon my departing I checked under the bed and that space had not been cleaned after the previous guest(s?) since apart from dust there was at least one plastic bottle and other litter. In felt the restaurants were way to pricey. Apart from conference food, the only thing I ate were the breakfast buffet which fortunately was included in the price (not the tip hovewer). ~35USD plus tip for breakfast is insane in my opinion. The conference food was ok the first times, but variation was not their forte.

Nice place with private beach. Nice staff, but TERRIBLE info when it came to wheelchair accessible transportation. Could easily have lost or return flight because of that. Walking distance to nice resturants.

This hotel was a perfect place to start a 2 week cruise through the Caribbean. It was affordable, great air conditioning, comfy beds, well insulated, front desk employees were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had 3 parties arriving at 3 different time (and at the crack of dawn). There were some 'hidden fees' that we were not informed of and they were graciously removed. 2 Starbucks on the property. Lots of historic ruins to 'spy' even though the signs say "Keep Out". Great location. If you are stateside, don't use the recommended pizza company advertised in the room.
