The courtyard gardens of Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada provide a leafy respite from the colors, scents and sounds of San Miguel de Allende. Here there is tranquility befitting the cloistral surroundings – some of the intricate stonework dates from the 1400s, and individually designed rooms are reminiscent of Old Mexico. Talavera-tiled bathrooms, copper sinks and stucco walls adorned with original art create a homey ambiance, and the quarry stone fireplace is the perfect place to enjoy an evening glass of wine.

This hotel is what made the stay so memorable. I could’ve stayed here and never left the whole weekend. The food is superb. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. We visited in October and it was very hot in the afternoons. It’s a beautiful city but you’ll need tennis shoes on every time you go out. The cobblestone streets are hard going in other shoes. Two full days gives you plenty of time to look around unless you are there for a specific reason. We had the best mole I’ve had in Mexico in SMDA. I’d probably plan to stay in one of the airport cities for a few days if I go again.

Possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The service is amazing the rooms are wonderful. The location is perfect. The price is reasonable considering the quality. Super clean, super quiet. It feels like your oasis in Mexico! Don't hesitate to go!

Exceptional service from a team that truly cares. We felt at home, our dogs were welcomed by name, and every detail of the stay was thoughtfully handled. A memorable experience from start to finish.

Our recent stay at the Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada was, in a word, fabulous. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a hotel and more like an intimate, beautiful sanctuary. We had a lovely room with a huge bathroom right by the pool. The entire property feels incredibly special and intimate. One of our favorite moments was watching the sunset from the rooftop bar…the view is spectacular. When the evening breeze picked up, the staff were right there passing out blankets. Every single detail was considered. The breakfast was a highlight of every morning. The fresh pastries were fresh and delicious, and the chilaquiles were a standout, and in the evenings, the drinks at the bar were fantastic. Honestly, it was the staff that made our stay so special. Everyone was incredibly thoughtful and kind, and I only wish I could remember every single person’s name because the entire team was so wonderful. Paula at check-in, Oscar at the bar, Brickellia the concierge, Alejandro, Front of House Manager, Noreli in Food & Beverage, Michael, the General Manager. Their hospitality is the heart of this hotel.
