The courtyard gardens of Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada provide a leafy respite from the colors, scents and sounds of San Miguel de Allende. Here there is tranquility befitting the cloistral surroundings – some of the intricate stonework dates from the 1400s, and individually designed rooms are reminiscent of Old Mexico. Talavera-tiled bathrooms, copper sinks and stucco walls adorned with original art create a homey ambiance, and the quarry stone fireplace is the perfect place to enjoy an evening glass of wine.

What can I say about this amazing hotel... they went above and beyond for our 3 night stay there. We were celebrating a special anniversary and we were upgraded to a beautiful studio suite and arrived to a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. We enjoyed breakfast every morning there and everything was delicious. The pool was delightful and the rooftop bar was stunning. We joined in on the margarita class in the bar and had a great time. We can't wait to return here on our next trip. The staff really make this hotel what it is and they go the extra mile to provide an amazing experience.

We had the BEST time at Casa de Sierra Nevada for our honeymoon. We felt taken care of the entire time and staff went above and beyond our wildest expectations. Our services at the spa were incredible. We particularly enjoyed our time at Tunki Rooftop, all thanks to Mauricio who was absolutely a highlight of our stay. His drinks were amazing and he was very friendly and attentive.

We stayed at the Belmond and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful hotel in San Miguel. We were upgraded to a stunning suite (thankfully still low season) and from there we enjoyed 4 nights, enjoying the atmosphere, the great food, the bars (rooftop bar for the Independence Day celebrations) as well as the activities. All the staff were incredible and I wanted to mention Gustavo, Victor, Ana, Lariza, Alejandro, Carlos, Felix and apologies for anyone else we forgot as they were all wonderful, attentive and made us feel welcome from the first time we entered. Would love to visit again.

Fantastic hotel right in the center! Outstanding beyond expecations the customer service. Carlita, Alejandro, Gustavo, the Hefe boss from Germany all so attentive and welcoming. Service beyond pale. I arrived several hours late in the middle of the night due to missing my flight from Mexico City. They could not have been more gracious or accommodating. I sadly experienced altitude sickness and vertigo from a previous recent mild stroke so was feeling dizzy and frequently unable to navigate steep hills and uneven walkways. I just took taxis which were inexpensive and readily available. I felt very accommodated by the hotel and their kindness which was extended to me was very much appreciated. The only reason I would not stay again would be if I was still struggling with balance/dizziness and then I would reevaluate if San Miguel is the correct destination for my health. Loved my private cooking lesson with Reuben at Sazon, amazing experience, I learned so much! Have already been cooking his recipes after only 2 days back!
