Rosewood is an outstandingly beautiful, relaxing, delicious, and welcoming resort. In San Miguel de Allende, there are many places to visit, shop, and discover, but there’s no better place to begin and end your day, or even spend the entire day on site. It was our second time in the city, but our first time at Rosewood. When we return to the city, we’ll return to Rosewood.

The good/great - Best terrace view in SMA, great place to watch the sunset. Wonderful artwork everywhere, and especially downstairs (in the gallery). But ...Too many Americans for my/our liking; very Beverly Hills-Like Venue ... why go away to see people like the people you see every day at home? I’d suggest staying elsewhere and getting a more local/cultural experience - but must come for the terrace view and artwork!

The Rosewood Hotels continue to impress. It is about 1 hr 15 or 30 min from either airport and I had transportation from the airport arranged with the concierge. Opened February 2011, Rosewood San Miguel de Allende was crafted by local artisans with the look and feel of old San Miguel to capture the historical essence and Rosewood has great ambience, vibe, and atmosphere. It does not disappoint, truly a luxury gem in San Miguel de Allende. The buildings design, gardens, grass areas, rooms and rooftop bar are outstanding. It is a beautiful, tranquil oasis. Location is great, close to the Park, and 5 min walk to the main square with the Parroquia, and most anywhere you want in town is 10 min. I arrived for a 2 night stay, one that will be to remember. The lobby is grand, and well appointed with beautiful furniture, with the most friendly front desk clerks and concierge. I was led to my room. The halls are large and filled with fountains, big open courtyards, lined with gardens like with lush plants, lavender thru out lining the halls and gardens. There is a water way art walk that leads to the pool and also beautiful bar and seating area where just across an equally dining restaurant for breakfast and lunch. I had a room on the 2nd floor with a great view of the courtyard. The room was a large suite - with a nice entry way, dark wood floors, large walk in closet area, and living room with comfortable couches and furniture, a fireplace, a great balcony with a view with lounge chairs and outside table, a bed with fine linens, and beautiful double sink bathroom with an amazing shower and tub. The hotel has many nice amenities - The best pool or pools in San Miguel. There is a number of pools one kids only, adults, and Jacuzzi. There was great loungers lining the pool, and nice open shaded cabanas. The cabanas are first come, and are incl. with no extra charge. The pool attendants are great quick to set you up with towels for your chair, water, drinks, food whatever you can want. There is a nice gym with all kinds of amenities - with a yoga stretching room. The spa, Sense, is very nice and treatment I had was amazing. There was a tranquil resting room, Sauna & Steam Rooms, and highly recommend the Thermal Waters Wellness with the private pools. By booking Virtuoso I had a $100 spa credit and free breakfast, early check in, free WIFI. So my spa treatment basically was 50% off. There are tennis courts, and the concierge arranged a special rate deal they have with the best golf course there Ventanas Golf course (designed by Nick Faldo) booked at 30% discounted greet fees. I had a caddie for an additional $25 and tip. It is a great course, maybe on par with many top courses we have here in California. The concierge was amazing. They had arranged a number of great restaurants in town, golf again, a VIP table at their Luna Rooftop Tapas Bar for dinner, and car service. I also had a Razr tour (like ATV Cars) of all the street art in an area of town Colonia Guadalupe, and continued with a tour of town. I had dinner at Luna Rooftop Tapas Bar, which offer amazing luxury tables and umbrellas with high breathtaking views of the San Miguel landscape. It is perfectly positioned with sunset which is magical when sun sets on the colorful walls of the city and Parroquia. It was so nice there was a gentleman rolling cigars right there that were so nice. I was able to have the best tapas (great food), cigars and sip the local Casa Dragones Tequila with the most amazing view. It could not get much better. I found myself returning often with friends for drinks and to take in the setting. It gets packed and if you use the concierge will set you up, and as a hotel guest you have priority. They would turn away some non hotel guests from Luna, and at 4 pm had a girl with a list of hotel guests that could have access at the elevator to the rooftop bar. It is good that they take care of guests as a priority since they should be able to enjoy the experience without being too overcrowded. Breakfast was amazing, in the 1826 restaurant, and included in my booking. It was a raw foods & as well as cooked foods, 4 different types of juices, a very large selection of breads & pastries, eggs cooked to order, a separate Mexican foods section, and I recommend the Enfrijoladas and Chilaquiles. it is known for the Sunday brunch - as with the rooftop have concierge make a reservation or there will be a long wait since outside people flock coming there just for brunch. Many reviews that are bad are disappointed outside people coming to the hotel and reviewing the rooftop and brunch, (denied access or long wait time for brunch) so separate these reviews from the hotel reviews and know if your staying at the hotel you have priority and utilize the concierge and book reservations. During my stay I had my laundry done. Everything came back perfectly fresh, folded and shirts pressed and hung. It was quick and affordable, in the afternoon delivered in the morning. Service was great from the time of arrival to the time of departure with all staff, front desk, pool & spa attendants, just so nice and helpful. Room service was always doing a good job not disturbing, and did a amazing cleaning every day and turn down service was perfect to get set up for a good night sleep. I'm glad I stayed here and will return.

My cousin has a residence that's part of the hotel. we visited the rooftop restaurant for dinner, beautiful view, delicious food and great service!! Had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, delicious Huevos Rancheros and a wide variety of fresh fruit. The hotel grounds are full of beautiful flowers.

From the check in to check out, everything was perfect. The staffs are so attentive and friendly, especially Martha. The hotel itself is so beautiful. We enjoyed the nice terrace drinking good cocktails and the view of the city. Thanks to Angel, who was working at the bar, we could try a couple of delicious cocktails. The swimming pool is stanning. The room is spacious with sufficient towels and amenity. I loved the bath salt at the tub. The brunch on Sunday there was the best one I've ever tried. Everything was just perfect.
