Its luxurious, service is great, rooms are beautiful the location is perfect. It’s positive upbeat energy all around, they make you feel welcome! The rooms were lovely, white glove clean. The breakfast was abundant and an additional menu to choose from.

We loved this hotel. It is perfectly located with everythjing in San Sebastian just a walk away and plenty of space around it. We had a premium king room, looking out towards the river and the sea. The room is a really good size, and it does that rare thing - there is space for two people to sit comfortably without one of you having to perch on the bed or on a desk chair. The bathroom was large and worked well, and they haven't skimped on the towels. So many hotels give you a decent-sized bath sheet and then a mean little hand towel to use for everything else, including wrapping around your wet hair after a shower. These scraps inevitably unfurl themselves irritatingly as soon as you position them. Here there were ample towels of a sensible size. Breakfast is very good - friendly and helpful staff and a good selection of stuff on the buffet. The "specials" on the menu are included in the price of the breakfast, so do try some. Best of all? The staff. The front desk manager was brilliantly welcoming when we turned up at 0930, way before check in, having taken a v early flight from Madrid. He went out of his way to welcome us; to get us into our room early; and to make sure that we could have breakfast even though we had not yet checked in. All excellent service. This is not a cheap hotel, but the quality shines through. Really liked it.

Fabulous “grande dame” hotel which is well- run with friendly staff. Beautiful dining room for breakfast. Great location and enjoyed our dinner in Cafe Saigon. We booked suite 423 and our adult children stayed in the adjoining room 424 which was most convenient. Nice Byredo toiletries

A fabulous hotel, great location in a beautiful city. Cannot recommend the hotel enough, the staff are exceptional and so friendly especially the front desk, Ane is wonderful. Make sure you have a dry martini in the cocktail bar, there is counter on how many they have served I got 45751! Great fun.

Hotel Maria Cristina must be among the best hotels in the world! It is not only a combination of location, architectural splendor, impeccable interior design, furnishings and outstanding breakfast but above all concierge service and staff friendliness that make it so outstanding. The concierge staff, especially Maria Salaverria, were truly incredible and provided me with an unforgettable, unmatched experience. In addition to the professional assistance I received in making reservations, it was the following experience that truly amazed. The concierge staff assisted me in retrieving my laptop which I accidentally left at Seville airport. They coordinated with the concierge staff at the Hotel Alfonso where I was staying in Seville. It was quite an involved effort, but I eventually received my laptop at the Hotel Maria Cristina. This was amazing! I will always be grateful for their consummate service!
