The grounds are lovely as is the hotel property. This review is for the Jazz Brunch. It would be wise to stick to the classics. The breakfast burrito was chock full of chopped kale, no black beans, and very little beef-all of the latter was dry. There were a few smears of black bean sauce on the plate but no dipping sauce or sauce on the burrito. The chilaquiles did not have crispy tortilla chips, as described, as they lined the dish and became soggy.

Booked with high expectations and they were exceeded. Food was stunning, and the added attention of F&B Manager Antoine and Chef Alex made it even more special. Big fans of delivery and explanation (without laboring long-winded monologues) or interrupting conversation— and they nailed it on both counts. Thrilled especially with the local abalone (also oysters to start, roasted cauliflower purée, double cut kurobuta pork chop) yet every dish had a unique and interesting take to set it apart from “usual “ fare. Ruinart Blanc de Blancs available by the glass was a surprise and a perfect start to a memorable evening, already looking forward to a return visit… and the spectacular views of Santa Barbara coastline from your table aren’t bad either ;)

The resort is simply one of those special places that exist in the world that satisfy every aspect of a 5-star vacation experience. Every aspect of the experience is spectacular from check-in to check-out. As with any resort, the grounds and the facilities are amazing but the staff clearly differentiate this resort from others, so gracious and accommodating in every way!
