My wife and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary. So, I called the GM and ask him about it. he could not have been more professional, polite and saw to each and every need and then some. Roses, food, view and well everything. Class in every respect. Do not hesitate to book here.

After seeing all the great reviews we thought we would give the El Encanto another try. Living in Santa Barbara we tried dining at El Encanto a few times right after they re-opened and we were not satisfied with the service or the food. We just assumed they were new and figuring everything out. We just stayed 2 nights in a bungalow room and although the room was great and the hotel itself is beautiful, the service and food were lacking. Our breakfast room service was a complete joke. Our order was repeated to us on the phone and when it arrived it was all wrong. We ordered 2 huevos rancheros with a side of salsa, coffee for 2 with cream and 1 orange juice. We received the huevos however the eggs were cooked solid, coffee for 1 with no cream, no orange juice and no side of salsa. I checked the bill and we were charged for everything. I called and they apologized and sent up 1 coffee cup, they forgot the cream again, and a side of salsa that was larger than my coffee cup. I guess they thought I was going to eat the salsa as if it were soup - plus the charge for the salsa I believe was $8. I ended up not even touching my breakfast or coffee and at that point just left the room to find better service in town. We stopped at the front desk on our way out to ask them to service our room as we had forgotten to take the do not disturb sign off the door. By the time we got back, after 5pm and realized our room not been serviced we were too tired to call the front desk again and then leave our room again for at least an hour while they cleaned. So all of our breakfast plates, untouched, were still on our bed.... For the price we paid for our room we really expected to receive a higher quality of service & food. I will say the guys at the front door were the most helpful and friendly but it all went downhill after that. El Encanto really needs to up their game if they want to complete with hotels like the Four Seasons Biltmore and the San Ysidro Ranch.

This was an awesome getaway! Understated Elegance, fabulous food and a Spa experience I will NOT ever forget ! A Stunning View from high up in the hills that gave you the most beautiful Sunrise and Sunsets. The staff was ever so gracious and helpful at every turn. The Management Staff was so hands on and available. Everyone made you feel like a special guest. The Pool and the grounds were impeccable. Our Cottage was just adorable with our own Porch, table and chairs! Privacy and your own cottage, with a Bathroom to die for! I will definitely be returning soon!

The Belmond El Encanto is a truly magical place. My sister-in-law and I spent an extended weekend for a joint birthday celebration. From the moment we got out of the car we were well treated. Each encounter with a staff member was pleasant and genuine. The food was impeccable, the grounds beautiful, the spa treatment amazing, the infinity pool calming, the live music at night entertaining, room service people gracious, valets prompt and courteous, and management present and personable. We loved our room, it was elegant and welcoming. We cannot say enough about the El Encanto. Can't wait to come back.

Very pleased with our stay! Attention to detail is definitely a theme here at El Encanto. The entire staff mysteriously knows who you are by name at every turn and there seems to be a very genuine drive to ensure you are comfortable and enjoying your stay. Our room was well appointed with an amazingly comfortable bed, fire place and heated tile bathroom floor. The in-room Nespresso machine and paper delivered each morning didn't hurt either. The absolute best was that the hotel offers complementary electric bikes to explore the city - we had an absolute blast! Definitely recommend this terrific place - if it's not right they will make it right... with a smile.
