Belmond El Encanto has the most engaging, warm staff. From the welcoming smiles of the valets and efficiency and sweetness of the housekeeping team, we felt very well cared for. They provided the most flawless in-room dining experience we have ever had--it was perfect in every way. My son enjoyed the lily pond and was given pellets to feed the fish and turtles. Small touches from the Belmond El Encanto bookmark that was placed in my son's book to the complimentary choux choux treats from the pastry department make this an exceptional property to visit.

This hotel is stunning. The rooms, the service, the views! It was truly a treat to stay here. I enjoyed every second. The rooms are very luxurious. The property has tons of old growth trees and is extremely tranquil. El Encanto is what you dream of when you think about costal California. The views are spectacular. The staff is kind and helpful and made sure we had a great stay. Definitely try the blood orange margarita! It is to die for!

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous! Did not matter if we were sitting on the patio or by the pool, the view was incredible and felt very luxurious. The staff was very accommodating and provided many local recommendations that turned out to be a great way to spend our trip. The hotel is at the top of the hill so you can see the ocean, city views, and the beautiful greenery. We ate at the restaurant one night and left very full and happy. Would highly recommend the donuts for dessert - great way to top off the delicious meal. The spa was so peaceful and serene; a nice place to relax after wine tasting in downtown Santa Barbara. All in all, this was am amazing place to stay and I would highly recommend it!

This is a very fancy hotel up in the hills above Santa Barbara. Only a 5 min drive from downtown, and they operate a shuttle that can drop you and / or pick you up from anywhere under 10-15 mins. Rooms are generally in two storey bungalows, with each comprising two suites - one per floor. Rooms are very nice, spacious and well decorated, and well insulated - we didn't hear any noise at all from outside in our entire stay. A/c can be directly above the bed though which can be a problem for some. Service and food were uniformally excellent, be careful with the restaurant though, not all of the patio is shaded and getting a shaded table on a busy breakfast day is not always easy.

Located in the suburbs of Santa Barbara with sweeping views of the city and bay this beautiful hotel has a relaxed effortless charm to it. From the beautiful gardens , the heated pool, the large rooms set in villas around the property, with beautiful bathrooms and comfortable mattress we could have stayed here much longer. We ate twice in the restaurant and both times the food was excellent. The staff especially the valet staff are helpful and friendly and they offer a free car service into the charming town of Santa Barabara. This place is a definite in my list of places to visit again .
