Sophisticate, beautiful, just exquisite. Property is exceptional, dining on the terrace, great energy. The staff was enthusiastic but reserved. Beautiful, immaculate rooms. We considered all the top hotels in the area and were thrilled to have chosen this property. Highly recommend.

I spent 3 nights at the property. Room was nice size and very well appointed, lovely view of a courtyard, housekeeping staff very attentive. The pool was also lovely with great vistas. The food was exceptional and very well presented. With the exception of one dinner, the service was terrible. I entertained friends/family on all three evenings on the terrace, had three breakfasts, one afternoon at the pool, and two dinners. Each and every time we had to ask for a service person for service, napkins, re-orders, salt/pepper, refills of water, our check, the list goes on.....For this exclusive of a hotel, a Belmond property, this was unacceptable. When paying for this exclusive type of property, the service should be receiving 5 Stars.....I give it a 1 star at best.

What a wonderful visit, this was our first time staying here but not the last. If you get the chance to take the electric bikes out take advantage of it. The view is amazing. Highly recommend staying here. The true meaning of customer service Thank you all!

We spent two nights in this property. It is truly a spectacular hotel in terms of grounds, buildings, and accommodations. However, I travel over 200 nights a year and this ranks amongst the worst in service and food. We started off by having dinner in the restaurant. It took 1 1/2 hours to get the food and when we received it, it was cold. Because we needed to be to another event, I went without eating. The hotel did comp our dinner, but we were looking to have a great dining experience and that did not happen. The next morning for breakfast, I couldn't believe that we had another cold meal. Two other tables complained about the same thing. I can't understand why a restaurant that has been opened for a long time has this issue. We had scheduled a shuttle service and it was late. We left for the day and our room was not made up. This could be an outstanding hotel, but don't waste your money because it is NOT worth the value. We will never stay here again.

Just had 2 nights there on our way from Carmel to Beverly Hills. It was absolutely marvellous, couldn't fault it! We stayed in room 102, would highly recommend. Special mention to bell/valet guys Caydun and Nate who went above and beyond, great guys, thank you. Also thanks to reception staff who realised it was our anniversary and made a special effort with room etc. Will be back...Great spot, great view, free rides into town, what else do you need?
