I had a massage with Gillian M. She was professional, courteous, and kind. Also, in comparison with the other massages I've had (e.g. Four Seasons, etc.) she actually listened to what I was asking rather than mindlessly giving a massage. She also is able to give really firm pressure, which is rarer than one would think! The staff and facilities here are comfortable and cosy. A great place to get away.

We stayed here for three nights in an impromptu stay. It was the best decision we made on our 12 day California road trip. The bungalows are dreamy. Spacious, opulent and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful, charming and outstanding and kept perfectly. The service is insanely good. The best I have had in any hotel in the world. The free shuttle service into town was amazing and we used it every day and night. Breakfast was lovely and room service was great too. My one tiny critique is that the hotel beauty products are a little low end and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. You have to pick off a sticky label each time you open a new one which is pretty frustrating when you’re wet in a shower! However, this is a truly five star experience. Book it today. You won’t regret it!

Darling, comfy, spacious bungalows with pathways that lead threw beautiful floral gardens and cute turtle pond. From this hillside bouquet resort you have beautiful views of the city of Santa Barbara and it’s wharf area. Easy walk to the historic mission and museum, so interesting. The saltwater pool is keep at the perfect temperature, with abundant views, lounge chairs and umbrellas. The food and staff are amazing! If your a vegan they have abundant options and are happy to tweak many of there other menu options.

Stayed at the Belmond El Encanto after our reservation at the 4 Seasons was cancelled due to mudslide damage and boy was I glad. I just cannot say enough about the place. First, the campus style lodging with multiple small buildings and cottages gives the place a sense of privacy, serenity and community you just do not find at a typical hotel. Even though we were in the lower priced Garden bungalow, the room and bath were very large and comfortable. Every walk to and from the room was through a sea of flora. Service was fabulous and they do not nickel and dime you on everything. There is free bottled water in the room and every time a staff person sees you standing and waiting they ask if they can get you a bottle water. My wife loved the spa and every meal at the restaurant was top notch. Just a lovely stay and I will definitely stay there again when in SB.

My daughter and I recently booked a 3 night stay at this gorgeous resort, at the start of a two week road trip. The service was outstanding. We would return in a heartbeat. From the bellman ( Nick) who provided suggested hiking routes, to their attentive assistant manager, (Andrew)... our stay was superb. Complimentary shuttle buses allow one to really relax, and the views and enjoying breakfast overlooking the town was wonderful. If you enjoy being pampered... this is the hotel for you. Loved every minute!
