Reviews for Camino Real Santa Cruz
We stayed in CR during the past weekend. Staff is great specially when we arrived, they didn't have our booked room through booking.com but they replaced it with a much better room at no additional cost. Breakfast is good, you have a supermarket, a big mall called Ventura Mall in front of the hotel with a Hard Rock cafe there, a supermarket around the corner of the hotel, a secure location defintively. You can relax in the swimming pool area, you can order drinks and forget about everything. There's live music on Friday's night too. I won't give a 5 star rate because of our bad experiences with taxi drivers that work with the hotel. When we asked to go to the "Expocruz" Fair, the guy in the van barely gave us advice with a really bad mood, and when we asked if he or somebody from the hotel could pick us up from the Expocruz from the Fair later night he simply replied NO, and after a very uncomfortable silence he said that it is almost impossible to stop by during Fair days , I think that for the price of the cabs that works with the hotel, you should find nicer people who knows how to work with a 5 star hotel. The second driver on the next day almost left us far from where we asked, my wife claimed that we were with our bagagges so the taxi driver went just one more block but he charged us even more than the already expensive rate. Hotel services and staff is awesome but this "outside staff" is not very good, at least that was our experience.

I just stayed at the Camino Real hotel and was very impressed with the service and hotel structure. Room is large and comfortable. They offer 5-6 types of pillow. I will definitely come back to the hotel on my next visit to Bolivia. Also the restaurant had great meat at a good price.

We just got back from three nights at the Camino Real. Overall it was an excellent experience. Pros: - Wonderful attention from staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful and courteous. We especially appreciated the friendly pool staff. - Beds are perfect. You can pick your favorite type of pillow from a list and have it delivered to you. - Each night chocolates and a weather prognosis for the following day was delivered to our room. This was a big hit with all of us. - Breakfast buffet: There's lots to choose from. The made-to-order omelets are by far the best. They have fresh fruit, pastries, yogurts (including greek), bacon, potatoes, pancakes, lots of juice and hot drink choices, etc. - The pools: The outdoor pool is a lovely spot when it's warm. The water was pretty cold for our visit (September) so we ended up only going in once. The water slide was our kids' favorite part of the hotel. We went to the indoor pool twice. It was clean, warm and relaxing. The environment is spa like with the scent of eucalyptus, luxury chaises and two bubble jet jacuzzis. - The decor: The rooms and all the main spaces of the hotel are beautiful. There's amazing attention to detail for comfort and aesthetics. In the dining room we noticed that the wine glasses (always on the tables) were pristine like the rest of the place - no water marks, fingerprints or dust. - The location: There's a supermarket right next door with a small food court, the Ventura Mall across the street with bowling, movies, a food court and shopping, and lots of other restaurant options within walking distance. Room for improvement - We had a room on the 1st floor that led straight out to the pool. We loved the room but had issues with mosquitos and other insects. We told the front desk about the problem after the first night. They fumigated and it improved for the next two nights. - Though our kids adored the hotel, it caters more to adults. The indoor pool is only available to kids until 6pm and we were asked to be help maintain the peacefulness of the pool area by keeping the kids quiet. This is understandable, but obviously not ideal for families. The kids' play area is a single play set that is only for kids 6 and under. The game room was under construction while we were there, but when we asked about it, we were told (by a very kind staff person) that it only had a small game available for kids anyway. The pros far outweighed the cons. We'd highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed 2 nights at the Camino Real Hotel and thought the service and location were great. It's easy to walk to nice restaurants that are close by. I stayed in the tower in a really nice room, well-equipped and very clean. The breakfast was excellent, a huge buffet. Breakfast set me up for the whole day! Really nice folks, almost everyone speaks English and they can change money for you with a good rate.

As a Business traveler I felt very well attended, Very good service, very organized and always looking for a good client satisfaction, first the room impeccable clean and crisp, second excellent restaurant and cafe service, third the attention to details also very good.
