Reviews for Eldorado Hotel & Spa

Property is acceptable, but don’t expect a resort experience.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 19 hours ago

Acceptable but not exactly a resort. This feels a bit more like an older quality inn that has been maintained but not updated. It’s a stretch to call this a resort in any way. Given the pricing, compared to the extreme rates for some other Santa Fe known names, it is a reasonable value. Just don’t go there thinking you found the ultimate bargain. The staff is friendly enough, but what one expects from a mid- to lower-level property. The restaurants serve decent food, but hours are very abbreviated. Furnishings are basic, but sparse. For example, the couch was 1970’s vintage decor (though maybe slightly newer (possibly 15+ years old). The bed was comfortable, pillows adequate. The bathroom was very old. Operable, but nothing fancy—very basic. The staff shortage was evident in several areas—no toiletries were stocked, so had to call for shampoo. Was told that “should have” been done. Clearly., but it signals not enough staff to check the rooms (or not enough desire). The hotel was mostly clean—not thoroughly so. A lot of dust under sofa and bed (again signaling no one checking on the housekeeping work, and under-motivated housekeeping. Valet is mandatory, but then underststaffed. If you’re going to make it mandatory, it would seem incumbent on management to ensure sufficient people. For example, although many flights leave SF early, the valet does not start until well after you need to leave, and “security” doubles as valet. That works out about as well as one might expect.

The bar, Cava, is spectacular. Well stocked bar, brilliant barman, nice wine selection. Great ambiance, piano player was talented.

Girls Weekend in Santa Fe

We had such a great time on our girls weekend at Eldorado. Great vibe and amenities. We liked the lobby bar and Adam & Gaby were fantastic!

Very calming lounge with plenty of space to relax.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Just a beautiful and relaxing time spent here listening to the piano and sipping our cares away. It is an open space that allows for intimate conversation or small gatherings with friends. Adam was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area and gave us some wonder suggestions of places to visit on our first trip to New Mexico. He made a very refreshing and wonderful drink for us based on our personal preferences. We are looking forward to visiting here again.
