Eeegads,,,never again. Wanted a wood burning fireplace- even brought lots of my own wood based on the poor reviews of wood unavailability. Also brought a microwave based on poor food reviews. Brought an N95 mask for the reported mold. Also brought my best attitude to deal with the variety of reported staff negative characters. But...... Being Hilton Diamond, I stay about 100 days a year at various Hiltons, which is why I moved next door to the Hilton after one night. Why? More to follow. So before unpacking in my fireplace room, I built a nice fire. The wood was in a big duffle, the valet did not know I had wood. Checked to make sure chiminy was clear. Fire got going, with some smoke as usual, but about five minutes later the room filled with SMOKE! The chiminy had obviously not been cleaned in a very long time, which would match the intense wood creosote smell when I entered the room, charming as it is, but could be very dangerous. Shortly the manager and security appeared, throwing open the duffel bag pointing and harshly saying that no external firewood could be brought in,, and it would be put in storage until I left. WELCOME to the Eldorado! Room service- called to order, and was told the food service was temporarilly suspended. They suggested a restaurant nearby. Yea right. Into the swim suit for a swim- pool wqs deserted with trash and leaves blowing. Yikes! A staff member appeared and said the pool would be reopening in a few days. OK. Sat down in the lobby, to contemplate my first hour in the hotel. Another staff person appeared, and mentioned I could not sit in the lobby in a swimsuite . Very classy old style hotel (old smelling too-moldy) -makes sense,, Asked I there was beverage service in the lobby and was told the bar would open in awhile. Manager from the fireplace was behind desk, and shot me a disapproving look. Approached desk, and after waiting withno customer there, asked if I could leave immediatly, and not be charger. BIG SCOWL! Being Diamond, the HIlton heeps a few wooms just for Diamond members, and I knew they would take me. Long story short, the manager was eventually called over and in no uncertain terms said I could leave the next morning early, and summarized the extraordinary charges for exiting this viper pit. So be it. Lesson learned. The Hilton was wonderful, and up to par, just no wood fireplace. BTW, my confiscated wood disappeared. AVOID!!! There are other wood fireplaces.

Do not go here. We booked a junior suite which was good in size but the fittings had seen better days. The drapes were pinned at the bottom with safety pins and the furniture was sad The biggest problem was mold M6 wife and I are extremely sensitive to mold and after a couple of days began to feel unwell. The hotel moved us to the room next. Guess what. That also had mold and we couldn’t sleep there after another couple of nights. We asked the front desk to give us a room to sleep in for the night and I said we would check out next morning. I was told that if we took the other room we would have to vacate the suite into a smaller room which was too small for our belongings. I asked why we couldn’t just sleep in the new room and leave our belongings in the suite since it was late and nobody was booked into a suite. The only way to solve this issue was for me to pay for the new room and continue paying for the suite There was no empathy from the staff just stolid insistence that we pay for both rooms. We checked out next morning and I am sure both rooms are still being sold to unsuspecting travelers One final comment. The American breakfast is $15. If you use room service, by the time it gets to you it costs $35+ and they even leave room for a tip on the receipt!!! Stay away

Visited the spa for a wonderful facial. Cheri was my person. Wonderful experience. Competent person. Explained what she was doing, which i appreciated. Skin was massaged so nicely that it looked noticably better. I was delighted.
