Once again I am blessed with the privilege to praise the El Dorado and the staff. On 2/20/2017 I called to make reservations for our annual June trip , Kedisha answered the phone what a pleasure ,Kedisha was extremely professional and patient she also made sure we had the best rate. As we arrived on 6/15/2017 the bell staff were ready and waiting to help, my wife and I checked in with wonderful assistance from Kedisha who informed us all the amenities . We went to the Agave Lounge several times the food and drinks were great . Rochelle the bartender ,was extremely attentive all my wife had to do was look up and Rochelle was there , the food was excellent . I suggest the turkey wrap or the chicken quisedilla . We were informed about a new club called Café Espana , Mark Krumback gave us a tour. What a beautiful venue, multiple rooms ,a stunning bar and live music from 6pm to 9pm and DJ until closing. We went both Friday and Saturday nights . When we went on Saturday I misplaced my hear aid ,I thought that I lost it . The staff went into search mode Stephanie, Dallas ,Giovanna. The bartender Isabella who I asked for rubber gloves, Isabella picked two pairs she put on one pair gave me the other , We went thru the TRASH together in the attempt to find hearing aid !!!!!!!!! What a wonderful young lady, you are living proof there is a God !! While Isabella and I were searching the rest of the staff were looking with their cell phones flashlights. I found my hearing aid back in our room , we went back to let everyone know, well you would have thought New Years eve broke out in June ! Eli on Friday noticed we were confused trying to find our way to the exit of compound . Eli was kind enough to walk us back to the EL Dorado how cool is that!! The housekeeping staff were so hardworking and timely when caring for room. I want all those who read this to know there is not enough superlatives in the human language to truly express how grateful my wife and I are to everyone. Thank you and God bless. I enjoyed the hotel The room was spacious. The conference services were very good as was the food. The staff were very helpful. The downside was the tiny rooftop pool. It was heated which was nice in the early morning but way too hot during a summer day. The tiny jacuzzi was no hotter than the pool. More than 10 people on that roof was way too crowded. The highlight for me was the spa. I had a fabulous peat mud treatment. The masseuse Kevin was one of the best I have ever had.

I have stayed at the Eldorado several times over the last 15-20 years, and always have thought it was a nice hotel in a great location in a fabulous city. It's still that, but I did have some issues during my stay last month, primarily with my sleeping room. It was a good-sized corner room with a balcony, but there were a number of maintenance issues that should be caught at a truly luxury hotel. The room is dark, as have been the ones I've had during other stays. That being the case, the hotel should make sure that all lamps have working bulbs between guest stays; one of ours did not. Also, although it appeared that the bathroom had been remodeled with a very nice shower replacing a tub/shower, there were some loose tiles or something near the shower head. Water got behind there, making the bathroom have a very musty smell that spread to the rest of the room. Finally, although I don't think it got warmer than the low 80s during our stay, the room got the afternoon sun. A/C definitely was needed, and it didn't matter what temperature we set the thermostat, it never cooled down. We reported this to the front desk, but I'm not sure maintenance ever came and looked at it. I heard other attendees at my conference say the same thing about the A/C, so this seems like something that the management really needs to address. Those issues aside, the public space has been beautifully redone, the Old House continues to have great food, and the staff is always very friendly and tries to be helpful when they can. The location is perfect, and within walking distance of just about anything in the downtown area. I'd definitely consider returning to the Eldorado, but I hope that the management invests in paying attention to various maintenance issues, big and small, that can turn a fantastic visit into a so-so one.

This hotel is an excellent location. You can walk anywhere you need to go. The room was fairly well appointed with a frig. The bathroom was alright. The staff was helpful and considerate. However the $25.00 a night Resort Fee was a joke. The roof top pool is extremely small and the area around it even smaller. So if it is busy at all everyone is on top of each other. We all need to stop staying at hotels with resort fees. We didn't use any amenities so for us it was just a waste of money.

Such a magnificent hotel and such a wonderful part of our vacation! this hotel is so beautiful and sits in such a great location in downtown santa fe...right in front of the georgia o'keefe museum (which is a must.) our room was beautiful, elegant and clean. the bed provided fantastic nights of sleeping...but this review would not be complete without mentioning what an amazing person Hunter, front desk, was to us during our visit. i have stayed in hundreds of hotels and he is the rare person who worked so diligently to make sure we had an awesome room, a great stay and answered every single question we asked him. Hunter, you are truly an exceptional person and your management should be proud to have you! your "super service" enhanced our stay. thank you so much!!!
