This small hotel is a little gem in Santa Fe. Walkable to everything in the old town center but is very quiet. It has an authentic vibe but very comfortable beds and a little kitchen area. They even had a tea kettle which was so nice! The full breakfast ( says continental but it was way more) was cooked to order and really exceptional. We will totally stay here again next time we are in Santa Fe.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. That's about the best thing I can say about Las Palomas and the casita we stayed in, #11. I agree with a previous poster...don't believe all the pictures. This resort may be undergoing some renovations (a crew was fixing the roof of another unit when we arrived), but they still need to do a LOT more work to justify the prices they're charging. There were holes in the bottom of the walls in the bathroom, and the ones they had patched weren't painted. There were no dressers or shelves anywhere in our unit, and though there were 2 closets, there were only 4 hangers between them. The kitchenette was small with old appliances, and there were at least 3 loose floorboards. There was some type of 'bubble' in the ceiling over the bed...I wasn't going to investigate that too closely. There was also a television by the door (circa 1990 I'm guessing), with cords hanging down the wall and would only get about 5 channels. Though this hotel is conveniently located in Santa Fe, close to shopping & restaurants, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures...Based on the online pictures and overall reviews, we expected a wonderful stay at Las Palomas, but were quite disappointed. The gloomy casita was colorful but had few windows, and it was poorly maintained. Instead of the rustic feel we expected, the place was very basic and just plain old. Not what we had expected for this nightly rate. There was water damage on the ceiling and on the crooked lampshade below, and the place was not clean. For example, there was a thick layer of dust on the broken mirror frame in the bathroom and the lamps above it. Floor boards were bulging, cabinet hinges were loose, and there was a lot of wear and tear. The linens were clean, but that could not make up for the cheap and uncomfortable feel of the rest. Breakfast featured almost nothing pant-based, except fresh fruit and oatmeal but the latter was the thinnest we’ve ever encountered, more like water with some bits in it. The best part of our stay was that the staff were friendly and agreeable to let us check out the next day, which was very much appreciated.

Las Palomas truly exceeded our expectations in Santa Fe. Decorated outside with enchanted luminaries and inside in the traditional colors and decor of New Mexico, this hotel truly gives guests an authentic experience of the region at a fraction of the cost of other hotels. The bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast each day was made to order. I recommend getting a room with kiva fireplace during the winter for a truly magical experience. I would not hesitate for a second to return to this wonderful hotel. It truly felt like a home away from home.
