My family and I love staying at the Fairmont. The staff here is the best, especially Matthew and Johan. 10/10 experience every time!

This has long been our hotel of choice when visiting Santa Monica but we we’re disappointed this time. We arrived at 9.45pm after a long day travelling. Check in was swift & we went straight to the room, dumped our bags, quick wash & got back down to the bar area by 10.05 only to be told the bar closed at 10pm & there was no food service. Luckily the waitress took pity on us & managed to bring us a drink & some nibbles. Just amazed that a major hotel in LA should have nowhere to eat or drink after 10pm. The bar was still packed by the way . Breakfast was up to the same excellent standard. We had an ocean view room with balcony which felt tired & quite dated. Pokey bathroom that only 1 person at a time can use. Hotel definitely needs an overhaul.

Matthew and Boris were awesome. They took good care of my Cybertruck while we were gone. Service was friendly right when we arrived. Definitely need to come back asap.

On prem as i write. worn and tired. and dirty. what a shame. check the pics. we used to stay here all the time - quiet side of the tower, away from the nightclub, higher floor. consistent product and service. clean. responsive. helpful. genuinely interested in the guest experience. now, it’s just sad. both the service and the product. requested high room, quiet, non adjoining. received low room, loud and adjoining. yeah sure i know its not guaranteed but really, why bother asking? requested feather pillows. received foam. promised a 3 pm checkin when we arrived, checked in at 410. no joke we were attacked when asking if the room was ready around 2! “did you receive a call!? we’ll CALL you by 3!” of course they didnt. have requested some cleaning, we’ll see. and you can tell the employees are trying but the management doesn’t have their backs. i’m guessing it’s a revenue thing at fairmont and the property is rotting for it. ah well, FIG is still nice. but do yourself a favor and book the Proper. same price range. miles ahead.

We were looking for a wonderful location in Santa Monica ...when we arrived at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows we found a marvelous hotel, with a great concierge to help us and a superb view of the ocean! It was a dream come true.
