We only stayed for one night, but we loved the experience. Everything was 5 star. and the staff were very friendly. Enjoyed staying in a bungalow, it made it seem more historical. Dinner was superb. Best recommendation we can give, is that we want to return for a longer stay in the future.

I took my baby daughter for a girls trip and for her 1st Birthday to LA and booked the Fairmont. This would make it my 3rd stay within 18months on the property and everytime is the same complaint. The pool service ie food and beverage is horrible. Firstly, when I booked in advance, my reservation had it as 1 adult 1 baby. I obviously needed a crib and diaper pail. When we checked in neither were present in my room. After traveling solo with a baby, all mother can agree is that you don't want to be chasing and following up with these things. My crib eventually arrived. No baby bathrobe or down duvet like the other Fairmont experience. They didn't bring a diaper pail either which meant - lots of diapers tossed in the waste basket. When we got to the pool, there were no clean towels, no one to help with an umbrella - except other hotel guests and no one to take our pool order. We were starving from our flight in. For $500 a night, plus loyalty member, I would expect better service. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't what I'm accustomed too. It was my baby girls 1st bday and our first mommy daughter vacation too

Front desk agent gave best welcome and room assignment for our brief stay! We love the property and have returned many times to work and play. Some visits we've had to relocate after finding our first room to be less than perfect. Garrick saved us from the shuffle by assigning the best room first!! As I'm here in Santa Monica for the playing, it makes a big difference to me. Thanks again!!

So i have stayed here many timed. Perfect location, generally friendly, attentive service. But. Some days the crush if people from events and out of property diners makes the experience less then relaxing. The over crowding of the pool area can be disappointing. The tower rooms gave great views but thw noise from pool, bars, street can be deafening. Breakfast when included is lovely. Housekeeping great. Staff friendly. There is a severe lack of noticeable security on the side entrances. The periphery fence requires more lighting and cameras. The night activity on California seems to include hookers. Food service by the pool when there are few guests was surprisingly poor. There is no policing if pool activity. Screaming children, unattended children in the Jacuzzi. And yet the lobby is beautiful, location great and purpose served good. Expensive and sometimes frantic and loud, and yet a good choice for santa Monica.

The Fairmont Miamar is a part of the Fine Hotels and Resorts program with American Express and the service is excellent. They have a great restaurant on site (not too fancy) but always has a nice crowd. The rooms are nice, sort of Ritz Carltonyish. We saw a few celebs there too. It has a amazing GIANT Fig tree in the front when you drive up so it feels very homey. The beach is right across the street. Only negative thing is if you get a beach view you will also hear loud bar (hippest bar around long lines to get in) I don't mind this much as I like noise it makes me feel at home (from New York) just use ear plugs it is worth it and the staff is very friendly here. You can rent bikes and do yoga here too.
