My husband and I recently enjoyed a delayed Valentine’s celebration at Hotel Oceana Santa Monica, a thoughtful surprise since he knows how much I love being near the ocean. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt luxurious yet relaxed. The service truly stood out. Laura and Joshua at the front desk were incredibly helpful and attentive to all of our questions, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The design of the property is beautiful, with thoughtful details throughout. The library wall in our suite was a delightful touch that added charm and character to the space. It quickly began to feel less like a hotel and more like our own little beach home. The location is also fantastic. We enjoyed a scenic walk along the oceanfront toward dinner near Third Street Promenade, with views of the iconic Santa Monica Pier along the way. Breakfast at The Veranda at Hotel Oceana was delicious and a joy to experience while dining poolside. Watching the sunset from our terrace was another highlight, and I especially loved the swing outside our suite—it added such a charming and whimsical touch. It was a peaceful, inspiring stay and a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to returning.

Room and amenities were nice but as a few other reviewers indicated-the website and even Hilton app are extremely misleading. While this hotel is “beachfront” in theory / it is far from it in reality. It is separated by an extremely busy residential street and also the PCH. Granted you can see the ocean in the distance and there is an access/walkway - it is no where close to what the photo-shopped pictures make it appear. Additionally, the in hotel bar closes very early - 10pm. Our room itself was nice / although for 105k points a night in a slow season - I would have appreciated some form of outside access as the “upgraded Lanai suite” has zero access…only a Lanai in “design of the room per management. Finally, the neighbors and gardeners were EXTREMELY loud as early as 7 am due to the extremely thin windows. I must say, as a long time Diamond member - I was not that impressed: - Misleading location - Not welcomed as a Diamond Member - Not extended a later checkout than 1pm (same status is 4pm with Marriott)

We spent a night at this beautiful hotel and had an incredible experience. Amazing staff with attention to detail. Specifically, Lenny and Nestor were both very kind and helpful. Our room was impeccable, as was the food and the ambiance. We will be back and we highly recommend.

The property was beautiful and well located, and most of the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely with plenty of space for a comfortable experience. The bathroom was surprisingly sparse and underwhelming with the 1970's bathtub/shower combo and cheap plastic curtain. What a contrast to the nice room. Our first introduction to Oceana Santa Monica was an email from a Front Desk Agent asking if we needed help prior to our stay. When my wife and I stay at an LXR, Waldorf or Conrad property, I usually ask for help with reservations, activities, etc, which makes for a smooth holiday. Unfortunately, this person was not helpful (training issue?). He told me I should make my own reservations and then ghosted me when I followed up with other requests for help. Not a great first impression. Other than the couple of issues, our Oceana Santa Monica experience was fine, and we would go back (we just won't rely on anyone for help before our stay!).

Outstanding service from Lenny the Bell Captain. We were pressed for time and his expediency and friendliness made the difference. This property is second to none in the area. Location is perfect. Don’t miss a chance to hang out by the pool!
