Oceana Beach Club Hotel

It was our first time in California in celebration of my mother’s 54th birthday. We were greeted by one of the valet, a young man named Surafel (incredibly kind and helpful, might I add) upon arrival and he removed our bags and lead us to check-in where we met Joshua who provided a smile and was extremely welcoming. He provided the details of our stay and explained the benefits we’d be able to take advantage of since booking through American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts. We couldn’t have asked for a more personable and friendly attitude; when I’d mentioned it was my mother’s birthday trip celebration, he immediately made it about my mom, provided us with recommendations during our stay and made her feel so welcome (of course, me too)! Our room wasn’t yet ready, but Joshua mentioned we should eat at the pool deck for breakfast and after an early morning of traveling, this was the perfect idea. We ate, then strolled Palisade Park and boy were were so pleasantly surprised. The weather was truly fantastic and the views we were met with were out of this world, a first sight of something like it for my mother. She admired the landscaping on property and surrounding areas and she couldn’t wipe the smile off her face. We walked and explored until we received a call from reception that our room was ready and were extremely happy to be lead to our room which was upgraded to Oceanfront on the second floor. The room was large, nicely decorated and the view, stunning with Ocean Ave and the ocean staring back at us. There was no welcome amenity in the room as I’d thought I’d requested in my initial booking, but to my pleasant surprise, a knock on the door later, a sweet treat with a happy birthday note was presented while we were freshening up. It was such a sweet gesture and truly set the tone of our stay even more. I knew service would only be great going forward — and it was. Avery and Francisco were our servers throughout our dining experiences and both were genuinely sweet and kind, not only making sure we had everything we needed, but also making conversation with us about our travels and their personal recommendations. Overall, our experience was fantastic and the property truly is beautiful and well taken care of. The only feedback I have is to check the smell in our particular room, as it was a little funny. The carpet underneath the king sized bed wasn’t laid out improperly which was a slight hazard if we didn’t notice it. Other than that, we truly felt great and want to thank everyone for making our one-night stay enjoyable in Santa Monica. Natalia, can’t wait to touch base and tell you about our next stops in Santa Barbara and Hawaii! We’ll certainly be back to you guys!

My family and I stayed at Oceana Santa Monica, LXR Hotels & Resorts, for two nights, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, elegant, and relaxing, but what truly made our stay memorable was the incredible staff. Peter checked us in and immediately made us feel genuinely welcomed. He was exceptionally kind, thoughtful, and attentive throughout our stay. Without us even asking, he upgraded our room, which was such a generous surprise and made our experience even more special. He also took the time to share helpful tips and excellent recommendations for the hotel and the surrounding area. Peter has such a warm and positive personality, and our daughter absolutely loved him. Every time she saw him, she wanted to check his hand for another chocolate because he had given her some during check-in. It became one of the sweetest and most memorable parts of our trip. His ability to connect with guests, including young children, is truly special. Devin was also amazing—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Kayla was equally wonderful and contributed greatly to the warm, personalized service we experienced throughout our stay. We also had excellent experiences at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The entire restaurant team was attentive, friendly, and accommodating, and they made each meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. Their hospitality was consistent throughout our stay and added another level to the overall experience. The entire team went above and beyond to make our family feel comfortable and cared for. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend Oceana Santa Monica to anyone looking for a beautiful hotel with truly exceptional hospitality. A special thank-you to Peter, Kayla, Devin, and the restaurant staff for making our stay unforgettable. We look forward to returning!

My stay at the Oceana hotel was amazing.The rooms were so nice(and accurate to the website pics).The service was amazing and the amenities were insane.It was also clean and so fun.The pool was so fun as well.The food is pricey but the quality makes it worth the money.The hotel was quiet but close to everything. We will be back.

We stayed here for just one night while waiting for our flight, and I had an important work call to take. Since our room wasn't available at the time, Natalia went above and beyond to find us a quiet, private space and supported us throughout. The entire service team was warm, professional, and incredibly welcoming. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately only spent a single night here and I have been regretting it ever since I checked out. My friend and I received the utmost top tier treatment during our stay. The staff at check in was delightful and kind. (Being offered room temp or cold water is always a good sign for a great stay.) We had two massages scheduled and were able to enjoy them in the privacy of our room! Oh, what a luxury. My friend is 30 weeks pregnant and got the best prenatal massage of her life. My deep tissue massage was also quite amazing. We spent the rest of the day relaxing in the room and finally made our way down to La Petite Monique for an early dinner. It was delicious. I was actually shocked with how decadent and finely balanced each meal was. Even the bread that came out was presented like I had bought it at a French boulangerie that day. Exceptional service. Exceptional wine. Our waiter (I believe his name was Matthew????) took the time to get my friend a surprise glass of alcohol-free prosecco so she could feel special for our toast. He was a delight!!! 10/10 no notes. The gym was fantastic. No one was in there but myself, which might have contributed to my experience, which made for a VIP feel in the morning. Coffee was in the pool area and we had breakfast sent to us via room service. I think I inhaled the quiche. Check out was easy and breezy. Lenny came to our room to help with bags and bring us to our car. (I was to relaxed to carry anything.) He also gave us a brief history of the property while we walked to the lobby. That was so thoughtful. Seriously beautiful hotel with some exceptional service from the team. Kezai, thank you for everything you did to make us feel so welcomed and relaxed. You made all the difference for our staycation. I will definitely come back and continue to recommend this property!
