This is a super, super place to stay while in Santa Monica. Far enough down Ocean Ave to be away from the throng of tourist crowds but close enough to easily get to everything else. Walking distance to the Beach and Santa Monica Pier. Walking distance to Wilshire Blvd and the slew of shops there. Easy connections to I-10. Comfortable and very quiet large rooms. I had a suite with bedroom, living room, and bathroom. Two rooms safes for your valuables. Easy access Elevators on both sides of the floors. Overlooking a heated outdoor pool. A cozy indoor/outdoor restaurant - and the food here is amazing. A breakfast buffet that is outstanding - multiple juices, multiple fruits, real and fresh bagels, Omelets, etc. to order. Crisp bacon! The best part of this place is the staff - Sally, Alex, Ashley, Megan all make you feel at home and of course the service is great. Special thanks to Jennie for being such a great host and so knowledgable about the hotel and the local scenes. Also thanks to the "bartender" who shared his fantastic knowledge of all movie genres and details of same. Of corse this place is expensive but it does stand out above al the hotels that I've stayed in in LA.

The place is super cute and lovely. They bumped us up to a suite. The staff were super genuine and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The food and drinks were great. We loved our cozy comfy room. The pool area was nice to hang out too. We will definitely be back to this quaint chill hotel. Lastly, it close to everything, which was great.

It is close to the santa monica beach, and all the things in this hotel are super cozy like home, especially room condition. It remind us home. Very luxurious and modern homestyle. I'd like to visit again.

The property is extremely dated. From the elevators to the pool, the entire place needs a facelift. Our room felt like it was out of an episode of Madmen - all that was missing were the ash trays. It was definitely spacious - but seriously - the bedroom (larger than ours at home) was separated from the bathroom by a 25x15 (aprox) livingroom. That's a long walk in the middle of the night. And the only trash can they had was in the bathroom! Seriously ridiculous. I thought at least the service would be good but ordering breakfast was a fiasco. I filled out the (convenient?) card and left it on the door about ten pm. I also sent a text to the concierge (as per instructions if we should need "anything") letting them know I had filled out the card for the earliest possible time and that we needed to be sure breakfast would arrive because we had a flight to catch. Guess what - no breakfast. 7:00 came and went (the time on the card) as did 7:30. Calling the restaurant was impossible. We were put through to the front desk who eventually transferred us to the restaurant. At 7:50 we wolfed down our (free because of the delay) breakfast and rushed out barely in time to make our flight. The "beach access" which is "across the street" is actually half a block down and across the street and then about another half mile of walkway long to get to the beach. Convenient valets were very helpful, but parking is quite expensive. Considering our two nights there cost more than four at an all inclusive on just about any island you might like, I would not spend my money here again. Our bill for two nights with parking (and free breakfast) was well over $1200.00. (Be aware of all the extra CA taxes and hotel fees. The room was listed at 460 a night.)

Lovely boutique hotel and beautiful location. Pool situated close to the pool, which was great. Room decor very outdated, which was unexpected as I thought it would be similar to the rest of the hotel. I hear they will be renovating though. The kitchenette was also lacking supplies. The room was nice and large, but the sound from the room above was brutal - old wood frame building. You could hear the guests above walking around at 5am. I loved the close proximity to the beach and use of bikes. I would stay again, but would request top floor and not bother spending the extra for a kitchenette.
