Very often a hotel's "positioning" is nothing more than marketing hype, however, in this case " Barefoot Luxury" is the perfect description. This hotel is unusual in every way and it is important to calibrate expectations. It is literally carved out of the side of a lava cliff overlooking one of the most magic sceneries you can imagine. Even the rooms are carved out of the rock and therefore look quite different of what you would expect in a standard luxury resort. However, they are truly charming and unique and each room has all the amenities you would expect in a luxury hotel. Most importantly, there is no such thing as a room with a bad view - every room has a spectacular view of the spectacular scenery that mother nature has provided.. Mystique is doing an incredible job attracting a most dedicated, loyal and professional team. I normally am not a fan of hotel restaurants, but it would be impossible to fault the quality of the cuisine, the wonderful service coupled with a most breathtaking view. Charisma is also the restaurant for breakfast which is exquisite and certainly starts your day in a good mood. Net, net - we are huge fans of Mystique and hope to go back one day soon - and yes, "Barefoot luxury " is more than marketing line, it truly does a great job catching the essence of this great hotel.

My husband and I spent 10 days at the Mystique in Santorini and found the experience was perfect! The staff is lovely and accommodating in the Charisma restaurant as well as the front office. They went out of their way to give us a lovely room and greeted us with open arms every morning for breakfast and promptly booked us transfers and reservations whenever we asked. We would not hesitate to return.

The Mystique is a very unique and fantastic hotel. The staff is extremely responsive to your needs and goes out of their way to be helpful. The food is excellent and the views from the property are incredible. You do not have to leave the property to look for better views of Santorini. The steps are challenging but you get used to it. I highly recommend a visit to the Mystique.

My husband and I spent four nights and thoroughly loved it. The staff will not let you lift a finger. A beautiful view, very comfortable room and delicious a la carte breakfast included. I hope to be lucky enough to return. There are many steps to navigate but the whole town of Oia was built into a mountainside hundreds of years ago. It's part of the charm! Absolutely loved it!
