We were searching for some of the best hotels/resorts in Santorini during an off season period (April), and several hotels were recommended to us, including those in Fira. We opted to get a hotel in Oia and chose Mystique. It was a choice we didn't regret. Upon arrival, the staff were welcoming us with big smiles, towels for refreshing ourselves, and an incredible view. We were given a briefing of the property and led to our rooms. The rooms were unlike other hotels anywhere but very similar to other luxury hotel rooms in Oia. They were not small and they had jacuzzis inside the room. The porters pleasantly carried out heavy suitcases to our rooms- a task one can appreciate only when one has visited the property and has seen how difficult it is to climb those treacherous steps from the road to the hotel. For the entire duration of our stay, we were always met with smiles. The breakfast offered by the hotel (part of our package) was not bad. It had the usual bread, jams, cheese, eggs, etc. What is noticeably absent are things like bacon, ham, etc. The breakfast nook is very picturesque. One drawback of this place is the incredibly slow service in their breakfasts. The staff in the restaurant were very nice and courteous but it is best that one goes to have breakfast earlier if not has a schedule waiting that day. Generally, the stay was very enjoyable! One room though was always wet! The walls were "bleeding" all throughout and it made the walls really wet and the floor extremely slippery. Yet, guests were not warned about this. It was not much of a problem for us but we almost slipped a couple of times. The goodbyes were also attended with quiet dignity. The porters carried our bags up the road and onto our vehicle and stood beside the car to wave us goodbye until we were out of sight. Mystique is quite good. There is room to be even better in all aspects but this is one property that we would recommend without reservations.

This is a very well managed hotel, with a great view of the caldera. Food was great, particularly for breakfast and lunch. A room with a private patio is a big benefit as the main pool area can be busy.

My husband and I stayed in Room 38 for three nights in October for our 20th Anniversary. It was perfect! The staff were always attentive and the manager Eleni went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. We booked through a travel agent. Our package included breakfast daily and one candle light dinner. We opted to pay extra for a wet allure room which had a hot tub. It was well worth it because the pool was too cold for us in October. The views were spectacular! They left desserts and appetizers in our room daily. It was truly luxurious! I was a big fan of their small gift store because it carries beautifully Greek made clothing. I indulged myself on their pricy but fabulous cocktails! The stairs are intense, but worth it. I would highly recommend our room! Eleni, if you read this please forgive me for not sending a review to Starwood before the deadline. You work so hard to make all your guest feel important. I was impressed that you always addressed us by name, and asked how our stay and Anniversary were. I don't know when you rest, but I'm quite certain it is not enough! Our stay was perfect!

We went to Santorini to get married. We arrived early and stayed in Oia for 2 nights at Mystique before we stayed 6 nights at a Villa in Imerovigli where we were holding our ceremony. I would say that if I had to pick between staying in Oia or staying in Imerovigli, we preferred Imerovigli by far. However, we appreciated having the day and a half to explore Oia and having the town be just steps away from our hotel. We rented a car, so staying in Imerovigli was okay. But if we didn't rent a car, then Oia would be the place to stay. Location: We enjoyed Mystique hotel - it was in a great location with proximity to walk around and explore the town. Room: Very Clean. Comfortable bed, great pillows! We had read varying reviews online with regards to level of privacy, noise near reception, and number of steps. Location of our room was at the bottom of the steps which I preferred as we had more privacy. Some rooms have outdoor hottubs/pools but their terrace is out in the open with people walking right by it and making eye contact. Our terrace was one of the more private ones which we liked. Our bathroom was dark, cavelike in keeping with traditional Greek caves. Our room had a tub but you could really only take a shower in it. Would have been nice to have a tub. Service: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Helped make restaurant recommendations and reservations and accommodated last minute requests with a smile. Amenities: Pleasantly surprised that there was a small fitness center onsite as we couldn't tell from the website if there was one there. There is no parking, however, one of the luggage carriers from guest services hopped into the car with us and showed us where to park. It was a city parking lot not too far away. Nice robe and slippers We appreciated turn down service each night that came with a small treat Liked Most: Location to Oia Liked Least: Size of room was pretty small - was really cramped and hard to put both suitcases out and open at same time. Bathroom was very basic, not luxury feel and no tub.

The view is breath taking and the setting of the hotel is a splendid modern take on traditional cave type dwellings. The restaurant and pool and rooms all allow you to fully soak up the caldera horizon. We stayed here for our wedding and had the reception at the restaurant. The staff were very attentive and the food was gourmet to say the least. The location is perfect as it is off the main strip so you avoid the crowds but you can easily walk there in only 5 min. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a decadent get away and very romantic for a wedding.
