Cavallo Point Lodge

I would give a 3.5 if I could but nothing higher. I’ve been visiting Cavallo ever since it opened in 2008. The beauty of the property and the quality of the service always made it a unique spot for us locals to escape to and enjoy. But something big has changed. The quality of the service - and some operations have declined drastically - specifically the front desk reception staff (daytime/weekdays) and the spa reception staff. Rude, distracted, and unprofessional is the only way to describe it. The staff in the restaurant and valet is exceptional however! Please do some secret shopper experiences and test what’s broken in these areas - the details matter.

I came in expecting a focused deep tissue session, but what I experienced was the kind of mastery that only comes from decades of work. You can feel Heart’s experience immediately—there’s no guesswork, no routine. Heart draws from an incredible range of techniques and applies exactly what your body needs in the moment. It makes sense that Heart performs most of the treatments on the menu—he’s not limited to one style, he embodies all of them. It felt less like a standard session and more like being guided by someone who truly understands the body on every level. After nearly 30 years in the field, it shows in every touch.

Fantastic facility, and perfectly located for anything you would like to do in the Bay Area. The grounds were impeccable, and the staff is outstanding. Highly suggest staying there!!!

We attended the wedding on property. We stayed in one of the traditional rooms. The rooms are ungodly overpriced for the value received. This is not a luxury property. This is an old-time property with a partial view ofthe Golden Gate Bridge. This property charges Peninsula and Ritz Carlton and four season prices for courtyard by Marriott accommodations. Amend this to someone else at least not someone I like.

An amazing resort with spectacular grounds and views . . . you can't find a better value for the top notch quality Cavallo Point offers. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable. The food at the restaurants is delicious, and the staff are excellent. This is an A+ place.
