Recently stayed there with a big group of 48 The property is gorgeous. The food is good but service is slow. We weren't too surprised due to the fact there were so many of us. Housekeeping was excellent the first two nights but it was like there was a different crew the second two nights. I didn't use the spa but the others in our group said they loved it. We stayed in the newer buildings so I can't comment on the older ones. I really liked the staff, they tried really hard to please.

I stayed here last year on Memorial Day weekend. My experience was very negative, but I decided not to write a review then because I was pregnant and trying to focus only on the positive. I must say that a year on I am still pretty ticked at the way I was treated so have decided to share the experience. Below is a note I sent with a list of things I encountered in a 24 hour stay. The manager was initially very apologetic and offered me a voucher to come back and stay for a night on the house. When I tried to actually get the voucher she dropped off the face of the earth and never replied to any of my phone or email messages again. It was a confounding experience and I have not been back to the hotel since. HI, Cavallo Point is one of my favorite hotels and right up there with Ventana and Carmel Valley Ranch in my book. I wanted to drop a note to say this last visit wasn't really up to par. Here's a list of all that I encountered in less than 24 hours. - internet didn't work - real bummer since I had to work. - room service menu had raw items that weren't identified as such. I'm pregnant and never should have eaten your parmesan dressing, but only thought to call and ask after I had had a few bites. Had it been called a caesar salad, I would have known to ask. - service was slow. No dog bowl or bed was in room on arrival. Was told it would be brought right after check in. Two hours passed, finally I called to ask about it as my dog was thirsty and then someone came by. - ceiling fan was broken and had to call to get it repaired - shower curtain was filthy (picture attached) and dirt easily came off when I tried to clean it. - bathroom had hair in it when I arrived. It wasn't everywhere, but in enough places to make me gag. So, the property is beautiful and great, but the things above are pretty unacceptable, even for a mid-priced hotel. To find all these things in one visit in a luxury resort is appalling.

We stay here every year in December. It is such a special spot and offers a wonderful getaway for our family to reconnect and recharge during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. The staff is attentive, the rooms are well appointed and the restaurant is heavenly. Perfect proximity to the GG Bridge, making it fun and easy to take a family hike there from the hotel.

Thirteen of us gathered at Murray Circle my mom's 85th birthday celebration. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. Quinoa mac and cheese, eggs benedict, and the mussels were favorites, as was the lemon cake. Thank you to the staff for making this a memorable day!

Stayed for a week on business. I loved the king room with view of Golden Gate. Staff were wonderful. Meeting rooms were very comfortable. Food was great! I really enjoyed the free time I had while here. Enjoyed the rocking chairs and the walking path that goes up behind the resort. Great views! I hope to come back and bring my husband for a nice romantic weekend.
