We've been here a few times now. Sometimes jut for the spa. The historic rooms are a bit small and too... 'historic' for my taste. Nothing too special. Older bed and breakfasts in the area are more beautifully done. I personally wouldn't stay int he historic section again. That said, we LOVED the contemporary rooms. They have great views, they're spacious and perfect. The spa is so relaxing with the heated outdoor pool. No gender shared jacuzzi though. Lots of parking. Lots of nearby trails. Beautiful views of the bridge and bay. Con: They advertise free included yoga classes. True, but the two I've been to were in a dirty feeling area that has older carpet on it and all the mats are old/ smelly.

We stayed here for three nights in February, 2017. The lobby was nice, grounds were nice, restaurant was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. We requested a room with a nice view of the golden gate bridge; what we got was a view of the top of one the towers, no view at all of the span itself. Very disappointing for the price we paid. Room was ok. The food at the restaurant there was some good, some not so good. Burgers in the bar are excellent! The last night of our stay there was a very loud party going on in our building, loud music and voices. Hotel security never showed up to stop the noise. Then why have security at all? We recommend staying at a different hotel; there are many to choose from. Hotel is overpriced for what you get. We will not be returning.

On a recent trip to San Francisco for biz, there was a conference in the city that had all the downtown hotels sold out or ridiculously priced. I snagged a room at Cavallo Point via Hotels Tonight for a song and could not be happier with my choice. The views from the resort are spectacular, as it is built into an old fort at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. I was placed in one of the modern new rooms, and had a full suite, with private patio overlooking the sweeping hills and bridge. The restaurant and bar a worth a trip even if you aren't staying there. Can't wait to go back!

Been here many times and it's great every time. Beautiful place with great views. Amazing views of golden gate. A nice spa and excellent staff. Many places to hike and pretty easy trip into San Fran or Sausalito. Children's play museum is bordering the property too.

We live 15 minutes from CP but love it because it offers all of the benefits of getting away from it all but without the drive. We love the rooms, the happy hour wine, the pastries and coffee in the morning. There are endless hikes starting from or nearby so as to provide unlimited physical activity. We enjoyed the yoga and both felt it was well done. We ate several meals at the Farley Bar and had room service two nights. The food, hamburgers, chicken, steak, were all delicious. My only criticism is that there was no pasta or pizza offering for room service. Also, the fish dish both nights was scallops, when we would have preferred a fish dish instead of a mollusk. It would also be nice if there were some bikes available for short rides into Sausalito. Even without these improvements, we loved our stay and will be back again (hopefully very soon). One more thing, the people that work at the resort are all extremely pleasant and helpful. Our dog, Bea, loves staying at Cavallo Point and so do we.
