We stay here every year in December. It is such a special spot and offers a wonderful getaway for our family to reconnect and recharge during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. The staff is attentive, the rooms are well appointed and the restaurant is heavenly. Perfect proximity to the GG Bridge, making it fun and easy to take a family hike there from the hotel.

Thirteen of us gathered at Murray Circle my mom's 85th birthday celebration. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. Quinoa mac and cheese, eggs benedict, and the mussels were favorites, as was the lemon cake. Thank you to the staff for making this a memorable day!

Stayed for a week on business. I loved the king room with view of Golden Gate. Staff were wonderful. Meeting rooms were very comfortable. Food was great! I really enjoyed the free time I had while here. Enjoyed the rocking chairs and the walking path that goes up behind the resort. Great views! I hope to come back and bring my husband for a nice romantic weekend.

Fort Baker looks out on SF Bay with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, etc. The officers quarters were converted to luxury accomodations in a style we rarely to find now--I LOVED that the windows were sash windows--easy to open--no screens, no 'jump barriers' and fresh air! Not everyone will like this if you are used to hermetically sealed hotel windows and AC in every room. Of course there are birds! of course there might be a stray bug! CP prides itself on the natural setting and promotes fitness via trails, a fitness center, spa, etc. Since I was there for a conference, I can't speak to the restaurant, but the conference food was excellent. My room was a 2nd floor suite in one of the older buildings, looking out on the grassy parade ground with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge tower peeking over the hill from my living room with couch, desk, pod-coffee maker, fridge stocked with 1/2n1/2. King-size bed, large bathroom with walk-in shower. Free wi-fi. Ceiling fans. A fire-pit near the conference dining hall kept many of us up enjoying the night air and a glass of wine. When I checked out I forgot I'd put my purse in the in-room safe. When I called from the road, the desk staff was gracious and put it into the hands of a colleague who hadn't left yet. Whew! This is a pricey hotel, but don't imagine urban grand hotel luxury--it's like going to some wonderful old lodge on a lake except that it's minutes from town and the amenities are up-to-date! And some rooms allow pets.

We stayed in one of the lower level suites in the new area on the hill. The construction is so poor that we could hear the upstairs guest talk, walk and use the bathroom. When they walked around, our entire room would shake. We were woken up at 7:30am on a Saturday morning as a result of this. It was so bad that a noise machine and ear plugs didn't even work. Don't consider coming unless you can get a top floor room.
