Beautiful but Stifling Experience - think twice before booking.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My wife and I were there to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. The property is beautiful and the resort is well appointed and maintained. The view of the Bay and Bridge were amazing. The staff are friendly and accommodating. That said, there is NO air conditioning in the guest rooms - intentionally as an organizational sustainability effort which made for a VERY unpleasant experience to relax and sleep comfortably - in our opinion such that we would not be returning. Although apparently listed on the website, it was not made clear at time of our booking. If room comfort matters to you, reconsider this property! Hard to justify the rates when comfort and experience is compromised.

Peaceful oasis

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

A peaceful oasis in Sausalito with beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge! Extremely comfortable and private accommodations allow for supreme relaxing even on a business trip. I would absolutely stay here again. The staff were very kind and helpful, the hotel grounds beautiful and lush, and the spa was a dream. The heated outdoor pool was very relaxing and a great way to enjoy the cool night while looking at the stars.

Hidden Gem offers an experience not just a stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I grew up in San Francisco, often going to Sausalito for brunch, and never knew this gem of a hotel was there! Cavallo Point is perfectly situated just moments from the Marin side of the Golden Gate Bridge and offers both old time charm and modern amenities. The food was amazing and the views breathtaking! Staff was exceptional. Something for everyone: Spa, cooking school, e-bikes and hiking to the bridge, shuttle into Sausalito or head into SF for the day!

Staff needs some inspiring or training

I found it amazing that the staff across the board was unfriendly and not service oriented. Too bad for such a beautiful location
