Great all around: views, location, rooms, and ambiance
Great location, great rooms, great decor, great people, and great food. You can’t get any closer to the Bay than this fabulous hotel. Cool breezes off the bay invite you to keep your windows open and fill the room with natural light along with gorgeous views of the San Francisco skyline. You can walk to all of Sausalito for great shops and dining. Hotel serves cheese and wine between 5 and 7pm. Great morning breakfast snacks. The front desk staff is wonderful and very helpful. Some rooms have balconies right over the bay. We had a room with two queen beds, no balcony but still spacious. Loved the bathroom. Would absolutely stay here again! Hands down a very memorable experience. Definitely recommended for couples seeking a quiet getaway across the Bay to explore beautiful Marin County.

Heaven on earth!
Spectacular hotel. Gorgeous location and amazing staff. Excellent breakfast and wine tasting. Every room has a magnificent view. Everything was perfect. Deserves 1000 stars. Can't wait to return. Great location for a trip to Muir Woods.

Always a great visit
My wife and I have stayed here several times and will return again this year. The Inn is very well run and the staff are very helpful. Happy hour is a nice treat and a good way to meet other people. Several restaurants and within walking distance and so is the Ferry Building if you want to visit SF without taking your car.

Relaxing Stay
For being such a small location it had a lot of things to do. From shops within walking distance to couples massage sessions in our rooms. Everything was relaxing. The balcony views were beautiful, watching the boats through and people kayaking by.

An Unforgettable Experience . . .!
The Inn Above Tide is superb in every way. From the stunning views to the attentive staff, this beautiful boutique hotel has it all. The exceptional expanded continental breakfast will happily be brought to your room; no schlepping to the lobby in your pajamas just for a little coffee and breakfast treat! (The same is true for the late-afternoon wine and cheese offerings.) They don’t have a full-service restaurant on site but they are more than willing to pick up your dinner order for you. And no review of our recent stay would be complete without special thanks to staff member Darian, who made sure everything was perfect for us. Top to bottom, you won’t find a better, more memorable inn for your special occasions.

Just returned from a four-day stay at The Inn Above Tide and can't say enough good things about this jewel - a truly enjoyable and quality experience. The quiet room couldn't have been more comfortable or of higher quality. And the view across S.F. Bay - spectacular, especially at night from the balcony. Also, how many places offer complimentary wine and cheese at night? All in all, a delightful place with an intimate, upscale ambiance and very friendly staff.
