Reviews for The Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront, Autograph Collection
The Bohemian is a lovely hotel. It is in a super convenient location. It is right on the river walk and lots of things are within walking distance. It is pricey, but you're paying for location. However, we stayed three nights and between the 2 rooms that we had, housekeeping never came to our room! We had to call and get more towels AND more toilet paper. The ice maker in the hallway didn't work. The staff was very nice and the rooftop restaurant/bar was nice. I guess I would have expected a little better service for the price.

We had a lovely stay the Bohemian this past weekend. The staff was very friendly and polite. The room was clean and linens fresh. View from our room was excellent. The concierge was helpful in assisting with our plans on the town. Everything was within walking distance. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed in a nicely kept room with a wonderful view of the river. From the moment we stepped in the doors to the moment we left, the staff was cheerful and well kept. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. The decor was so beautiful. It's worth staying at and would most definitely stay again.
If you are looking for a great hotel right in the heart of Savannah's River Street, this is it! The decor is a bit dark--the whole hotel is kind of "dim"--but the art work is pretty amazing. Loved my room--had a river view. The staff was very friendly, and the valet was prompt. A few tips: this place does not have a great big sign--so it is easy to drive right by (Google maps told me to turn left onto a street that I don't think exists). It is right across the street from Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and if you get to I think it's a Hyatt or Hilton (which has clear signage and a large area to turn in to check in) you have just missed it. Also, the lobby is on the FOURTH floor--not the first (elevator button has a little sign showing that--I missed it). The first floor is the restaurant. I didn't eat at the restaurant, but did have a beverage, and it was good. It opens right out to River Street.

TL,DR: do not pay extra for riverside/balcony because hotel next door blocks view, even at rooftop. Nice place to impress someone. No concierge level - that speaks volumes. Take courtesy shuttle to explore Forsyth park & maybe swim at other location. DO NOT use valet. The good: beautiful, magical, impressive hotel/lobby/rooms; loved the pugilistic (boxing) art in the Bar upstairs; our bathroom had a door on it (not a curtain only as others mentioned) but no exhaust fan in the toilet area (....thank goodness we're married). Robert of the courtesy bus was prompt, gracious and informative; the awesome courtesy shuttle took me to the Forsyth location and back; April in valet saved our evening by giving us some of her over the counter medication when we left ours at home (THANK YOU!). Both of these staff members should be upgraded to the Mansion on Forsyth because of their 5 star level service! The not so good: Warning: Do not expect to get a riverside room here and see the riverfront fireworks. Your view is blocked by the non descript national chain hotel next door that juts out over the Riverwalk. You can get any room here, take a few steps out to the Riverwalk and see the fireworks but not hear the music (which was nice enough, but not worth paying extra for the balcony room) - but do not make the mistake me and plenty others did (per grumbling overheard in the elevator & at the bar) of thinking you can see fireworks, even from the lounge upstairs - you cannot, and of course they won't tell you this. I chose this hotel because the others nearer to the fireworks are mostly 2 or 3 star hotels, and we didn't want to be in the Westin again because sometimes it's a pain being across the river from all the action. Next time we're going somewhere else - possibly even back to the Westin. Another warning: D O N O T utilise the valet here unless you want your stay near-ruined. Twice I called for my car, and twice they claimed the front desk gave them the wrong car number. The second time, I'm waiting forever for my car after calling down for it - I see this rich looking couple walk out and ask for their car - and the valet girl who was standing around doing nothing, STRAIGHT UP slowly walked over and got the rich people's car and drove it right over. When she returned with it, in front of her & that richy couple I pointed this out to the manager who pointed at some random car out front and tried to say, "oh, is this not your car?" No it wasn't, then started to say that other couple got their car so quick because they had brought the wrong car up for them initially. What??? At least he refunded my $30 for valet overnight. I considered giving this hotel an additional star because this is the valet, not the hotel - but for the cost of the valet, truthfully the valet is such a big part of the stay that it negatively affected my rating.
