Reviews for The Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront, Autograph Collection
Booked room well in advance with a no cancellation clause. We arrived to a room on the driveway so we could never open our shades. The closet was a joke. I could not hang my very short dress without it dragging on the closet floor. The velvet(?) shower curtain was moldy. When we returned to our room at 4:00, house keeping had not come yet. I was dark... probibly because we had to keep the curtains closed... NOT happy!

This was an email I sent to the Bohemian in which I never got a response: My husand and I have just returned from spending a week at the Bohemian in Savannah. Our check-in process was wonderful. Emily saw to it that we received an upgrade to a river view room and a $20 coupon for drinks at the roof top bar. Although our stay was wonderful the 5 star treatement was lost in the details. On our first night (Saturday, Oct. 21st) we deceided we would get breakfast via room service for the next morning. It was delivered promptly on Sunday morning and it was delicious. Upon return from being out all day on Sunday, we again decided to order breakfast in our room for the next morning. After looking around the room, we realized there wasn't a door hanger to fill out. My husband called the front desk. He was told one would be brought up. A few minutes later (after standing out on the balcony) we noticed something near the door to the room. It was a menu, not a door hanger. We called the front desk again and then was told just to give them our order over the phone. A door hanger for room service was never available again in our room so we went else where for breakfast the rest of the week. As I mentioned the room we had was a balcony room. When we arrived, the doors were open since it was a beautiful fall day. When getting ready for bed that evening, we tried to secure the door closed. We made an awkward attempt, but it was fine for the evening. On Sunday morning, we mentioned the doors to the front desk and they said someone would come look at it. After being out all day, the door had not been fixed. I thought since it was Sunday that maintenance was only for emergencies. I assumed it would be fixed on Monday. After a whole day out on Monday, we returned to see the balcony doors still were not fixed. Another call to the front desk. This time maintenance came right to our room. He then explained to us how the door works. You have to pull up on the handle not down. Boy, did we feel like idiots. Needless to say we only opened one side of the double doors for the remainder of our stay. I will list the other missed details as they don't require an explanation: - There was no information in the room about the roof top bar or the restaurant downstairs. - There was no information about the spa at the sister hotel across Forsyth Park. I only knew about this because I saw it on your website months ago. I booked a manicure at the Posiedon which was wonderful. - Sometimes we had a rug in the bathroom, sometimes we didn't - Cleaning rags were left in the bathroom - Sometimes we had coffee supplies, sometime we didn't. - Although the bed was made everyday, the comforter had big bumps in it. It looked like the stuffing had shifted into lumps. The small decorative blanket was usually not on the bed. One day I draped it over the desk chair while I was sitting on it near the balcony doors and the blanket and chair remained there for four days. - Our room was on the 7th floor. It smelled like grilled meat pretty much any time of the day. I'm a vegetarian, so that wasn't very appealing to me. - At around 2:00 am (every morning) above us it sounded like tables and chairs were being drug across the floor. This would go on for at least 45 minutes. As you can see by the above, this was just not the first class experience we were looking forward to. We had talked for quite a while about what it would be like to stay at the Bohemian and our experience just fell flat. During our recent visit we often talked about how much nicer our stay was at the Residence on W. Charlton St. in years past. We had a Cottage Studio and it was wonderful. I'm just not sure the Bohemian will be in our plans in the future. I would like to give my compliments to the valet and front door staff. Those men and women do a tremendous job. We had made arragements to leave very early on the day we checked out. We had arranged with the valet to have our car waiting for us at 6:45 am . . . and it was. They were fantastic! I just think these kinds of details are important enough not to skimp on especially in a classy and expensive hotel like the Bohemian.

This is a stunning hotel. The location on the Savannah River is amazing! Spring for a water front room! The service at the hotel needs refining. Service was hit or miss, depending on who was working. When I asked a front desk associate if she would please call a cab for us she replied rudely, "You don't have Uber?" WHAT?

Just stayed for a night visiting from Hilton Head for Halloween. The hotel is beautiful, the rooftop bar is awesome and we had a nice river view room. Maksim welcomed us with a couple of glasses of champagne and recommended a few bars for the night. Would definitely go back.
We requested and early check in for our two rooms. Neither were ready at 3:45 PM. A little disappointing after rising at 3 AM to travel to Savannah from New Jersey. The young woman at the front desk was not apologetic for the inconvenience as “early check in is only a request.” The rooms were very clean and comfortable with amazing pillows! Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was the best. I highly recommend the baguette French toast!
