Mansion on Forsyth Park

Bardo is the place to be! It’s located in the heart of Savannah. The restaurant St. Bibiani on property was fantastic! The best porterhouse in Savannah. Our waiter had a great vibe. I feel horrible I can’t remember his name, but he had a lightening bolt tattoo on his neck. I asked if he was an Elvis fan (if you know you know) The Valet guys ( and girl) were so accommodating and responsive. We had Caleb, Jonah, Tyler, Mateo, Isaac, and Hannah all helping with our cars. Speaking of cars. Charlie the house driver got us to our dinner off property. We loved him! The green room where we gathered was fun. The ambiance was amazing the bartenders Turner and Roendo were very attentive and great at their cocktail craft. We were greeted with a warm welcome and smile by the door men (Bobby and John) the pool area is like being at an exclusive resort. Gavin was our pool sever. He was on top of his job. The pool bar food was Delicious! The beds are comfy and the room design was perfect! Marcio walked around at night and spoke to us to make sure our stay was going well. The whole staff is amazing that way. Barbo did not miss any detail! We can’t wait to come back.

The positives: housekeeping was great. The guys out front, Bobby and Charlie, were very friendly. The negatives: The AC in the rooms struggled. It was 74 in our room. The hotel itself is not being maintained….definitely doesn’t look like the Vogue pictures online. The front desk staff was not friendly or professional IMO. The waiter at the pool needs proper training. It is overpriced for the service. I very rarely leave a negative review…but I was very disappointed with our stay.

I encountered consistently rude and unhelpful staff members. Was overcharged on multiple occasions. Make sure you look over your itemized receipts, especially at the end of your stay because I was still finding charges that do not make sense even days later after I left. For the price point and reputation the hotel is known for, this was awful and embarrassing for them. At the end of my stay, I left feeling frazzled, swindled and way stressed out. If I could give this a negative rating, I would. It’s cute and housekeeping was awesome but that is literally all it has going for it. The location isn’t even good. Above and beyond disappointed.

We LOVED our stay at hotel Bardo! The bartenders in the green room were wonderful and very attentive! Turner made great drinks, Rosendo made us feel extremely comfortable with friendly conversation! Jonah on the valet hustled every time we needed our car and the house driver, Charlie was a great compliment to our dinners off the property.

Bobby the door man was amazing! So friendly and personable! We had Chase Sapphire upgrade and they gave us an unfortunate view of a roof with fans on it. That was disappointing. Other than that it was very nice. Beautiful hotel! Beautiful city!
