Mansion on Forsyth Park

Bardo is far and away the most sophisticated, elegant hotel in Savannah. In a city full of "historic" inns, the hotel feels uniquely modern and impeccably designed. The king room is super spacious and nicely appointed, with thoughtful details and great amenities. The relaxed vibe at the pool is perfect for a couple or group, but I also would've felt comfortable bringing my kids. Bardo's location is also ideal, in easy walking distance of historic sites and the riverfront area as well as the bars and restaurants in Starland. The service was flawless from beginning to end--we checked in much earlier than anticipated and spent a full day at the pool after checking out--with attentive, friendly staff. My new favorite place to stay!

We stayed at Hotel Bardo from February 13 to 15, located on 700 Drayton Street, Savannah Georgia. This is a historic spot with an Italian vibe, chic, elegant, fresh, and attentive to luxury. The cocktails were vibrant and colorful, and the rooms were spacious with terrace overlooking the swimming pool. This evoked the feel of a resort in the southern Italy. Everyone was helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Bar Bibi by the swimming pool was a delightful spot, and the light menu offered superb food. Saint Bibiana restaurant featured a concise, high-quality menu where pasta and meat freshness stood out. The place is unlike many hotels I’ve visited in the USA, and we’re already planning to return soon.

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Staff was friendly. Rooms were spacious, beautiful and had great touches- robes, steamer, Nespresso, umbrellas. Pool area was trendy and instagram worthy. Bar was dark and moody. Loved our stay.

It was a wonderful experience, some truly amazing staff to support our needs. Sarah was so good in her many roles that she does!!!!!

We returned in February 2026 after a disappointing stay for Easter 2025 and we were immediately struck by the major improvements. We felt welcomed and were greeted by nice personal attentions - the staff and Alec really went out of their way to make us feel special. A key complaint we had last time was around the lack of appropriate breakfast for such a hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised by the new breakfast offering at the San Bibiana restaurant that was delicious and had great service. The room was also very nice and spacious. They also now have a nicely set up pool bar and restaurant for lunch. Overall, we really recommend this hotel that truly feels like home away from home and has a great location right on Forsyth Park.
