Mansion on Forsyth Park

Great time, great facility. We visit Savannah frequently and this, along with the Perry Lane, are our two favorites and repeats. Very friendly and helpful staff. One of our daughters had left a bag on a previous stay, and the hotel retrieved and kept it safe for us for a month. Mitchell, one of the valets, went above and beyond, handling our luggage and packing up during a downpour, then bringing us cold water for our travels. Very good black car driven by Franklin who takes you where you need to go. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed.

The location of this hotel is perfectly nestled in one of Savannah’s most quaint neighborhoods. Conveniently located across from Forsyth Park - you can easily enjoy outdoor serenity or activities like walking or tennis. The Bardo property itself offers a wide variety of amenities such as a pool, fitness programming, cocktail classes, live jazz and DJs at club bardo, morning pastries and coffee, and spa services! The rooms are stunning and make you feel like you’ve been transported to a different era. All in all, we loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. Big shout out to Tofikk at the front reception - helping us sort out our delayed luggage from our flight, and providing us with essentials to make our stay as comfortable as possible. And to Larissa at Club Bardo who entertained, hosted, and provided a wonderful experience. The staff here cares and is so attentive!

The location is perfect. The park right across the street is lovely and the little cafe there is delicious. The atmosphere at the hotel is very nice. It’s a beautiful hotel with great upgrades. My room was spacious and beautiful. I loved the separate tub. The view out the window was less than desirable, but didn’t really matter because the room is gorgeous. The price is high, but it is an upscale hotel with fantastic amenities. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. The noise level wasn’t great. It sounded like they may have been doing construction either at the hotel itself or very close by. In addition, you can hear other guests very clearly. The service is well above average. Ask and you shall receive. They even have a car service at no extra cost that will take you and pick you up wherever you want to go. Stratton, the car driver was amazing (except for our last night there. We couldn’t reach him on the phone number given to us. But, he’s a great driver and extremely polite. I’d give him 5 stars. The staff overall is extremely accommodating and kind.

Nowhere near worth the price! (Almost $1,000/ night). To put into perspective, I travelled the next night to a Residence Inn, in a different city, paying a fraction of the cost and it was so much cleaner, more comfortable and better service. As we pulled up and got out of the car 3 valet did not even acknowledge us as they passed by, the 4th one did. Our “upgraded” room was on the first floor by a busy exit and entrance to the hotel and pool area, we could hear all of it while in our bed. This room smelled of mildew and felt damp. The shower had black mold and mildew all over it. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The pillows were not fully filled and basically stuffed with clumps of cotton. To make it better I tried to fold it in half but the end had a big plastic attachment that I kept laying on and waking up. I just didn’t feel comfortable in the room at all. I knew more about the city and where to go than the concierge. The renovations to the rooms were poorly done and worse than when it was the mansion… The pool area is beautiful, it’s nice having Saint Bibiana connected, the driver being available is great. Forsyth park is beautiful and nice having it nearby. Other than that DO NOT waste your money by staying here. Such a disappointment.
