Reviews for Mansion on Forsyth Park

A very pleasant stay...with a few caveats.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 hours ago

Overall, a nice stay. Housekeeping, pool attendants, front desk personnel and Green room barmen were all 5-star. Excellent room. Restaurant staff need training. If you are used to 5-star dining you will be disappointed. But, restaurants and dining excepted, overall it was a good stay.

Fun atmosphere, but lacking service and no AC

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 hours ago

Booked for our babymoon, so found a nice resort to splurge a little bit. Loved the atmosphere and decor. Complimentary continental breakfast was extremely lacking, so we went to the restaurant and it was cozy with great food. Saltgrass spa was also incredible, great service, and had good prenatal accomodations - No designated parking for the hotel, which we weren't aware of until arrival. They do have valet parking for $60 a day, but as this was already a splurge trip, we couldn't afford it and had to navigate street parking and street sweeping schedules. They do have a car service, which I don't recall seeing on the website when booking, which was a nice perk. Just have to make sure you book a few hours in advance to make sure you have a ride when you want - AC was horrible, had it on high all night and never got below 74 in July in Georgia. Also no ice machines, which is a pretty standard amenity - Pool was nice and fairly chill even with lots of people and some kids there. However we received no service from the pool staff for a total of 35-40 minutes after we'd arrived and gotten settled, even with staff walking all around and tending to other guests. Had to go to the bar to ask for menus, and figured they'd send a server to us in a few minutes. Eventually we went up to order at the bar that they said they'd send a server to our seats. Once they acknowledged us, service was fine, but took way too long to start. Unfortunately, the nearly non-existent AC in the rooms and lack of pool staff service dampened our experience a lot, especially for a hotel constantly sending emails bragging about their supposed many awards and accolades

Unmatched Domestic Luxury: Rivals Our Favorite International Hotels

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The location is simply perfect, situated directly adjacent to Forsyth Park. This prime spot offers immediate access to green space while keeping you in the heart of Savannah’s historic charm. The hotel itself is a visual stunner; the Art Deco design is executed flawlessly, with every appointment and feature reflecting a high level of sophistication. The attention to detail throughout the property is both noticed and deeply appreciated. We traveled with our two dogs, and the experience was seamless. The hotel is genuinely dog-friendly, allowing pets to stay in the room even when they were occasionally vocal. We encountered no complaints from staff or management, only warmth and accommodation. The rooms are exceptional, immaculately clean, and designed with an eye for luxury that rivals international standards. Every conceivable amenity is available on-site. From Saint Babiana, to the café, pool, spa, and valet parking: everything is all top-tier. The staff provided exceptional service all around, maintaining a polite and professional attitude throughout our stay. Hotel Bardo Savannah is truly impressive. It offers unmatched luxury and service that reminds us of our favorite international trips where hospitality is typically superior. From the cleanliness to the valet, every element was executed perfectly. Outstanding job to the entire team!

The Mansion delighted our senses and whetted our appetite to return again soon. The art, ambiance and atmosphere are simply stunning and thoroughly sensational. My wife and I are seasoned travelers with a preference for the very best – Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, St. Regis, etc. We now anticipate a long and memorable relationship with the Mansion on Forsyth Park.
